✨ Two Years in Our Secret Garden ✨

Two years ago today, this little underground space became the permanent home of Inner Alchemy’s Sanctuary & Studio—a place I think of as our own keva, an earth temple tucked away beneath the West Seattle Veteran Hall. Many of you still haven’t discovered this intimate, private little location, and honestly… it feels a bit like a secret garden. I actually visited the former speakeasy here back in 2000, never imagining that years later I would be caring for this space and watching it become a place for healing, creativity, connection and community.

Today, our calendar is filled with experiences that reflect the wonderfully unconventional spirit of Inner Alchemy. We do things a little differently here. Artists’ work fills the walls. Community altars gather on the mantle of the original fireplace that once heated this space. And every week, something new unfolds. You could enjoy: meditation, many types of yoga, Qi Gong, breathwork, sound, ceremony, circles, dance, art, mediumship demonstrations, Solstice Soul Spas and so, so much more.

We've also hosted Sunday night dinners for the Westside Neighbors Shelter, whose community has lived just above our heads. That part of the story feels especially meaningful to me—this space isn't simply a room where things happen. It holds people.

So, two years in, I find myself incredibly grateful for this vintage little energy portal and all the people who have breathed life into it. ❤️ If you haven't found your way down the stairs yet, come discover us. Come for an event, wander in for a class, bring a friend, or simply experience this unusual and very well-loved space for yourself.

And if you’re looking for a unique place to gather, our Sanctuary & Studio is also available to rent for personal and professional events.

Come find the secret garden. ✨

One early morning in Glastonbury, while the town was still sleepy and quiet, I followed my intuition rather than a map and found my way to the Tor. Climbing that ancient hill as the morning unfolded below me felt ceremonial. Glastonbury Tor has been a sacred and storied landmark for centuries, woven with Celtic traditions, Christian pilgrimage, Arthurian legend and the mystical landscape of Avalon.

At the Abbey, I discovered the mysterious Egg Stone, an enormous egg-shaped stone whose origins and purpose remain unknown—a perfect little reminder that some things are meant to remain mysterious. I also visited the Magdalene Chapel, part of a medieval hospital established to care for the sick and poor.

At Chalice Well, I soaked my feet in the famous red waters, colored by the iron-rich spring and revered for centuries for their healing qualities. And then came one of the highlights of the entire journey: what my friend calls a “dip in the nip”at White Spring! 😂 Cold, wild, spontaneous and completely liberating.

There was something about moving between these ancient sacred waters, walking the land, and allowing myself to simply follow what called me that created a feeling of euphoria. I felt something breaking free in me—a lightness, an aliveness, a remembering.

What touched me most was realizing that during all the years I lived in London, I had never known these sacred places were so close. This journey reminded me that sometimes we have to step outside the familiar to discover something waiting inside us.

And yes… I am inspired to bring you all along!

I am dreaming into an Inner Alchemy Sacred Journey to England in May 2027, where we’ll explore Glastonbury, sacred sites, ancient landscapes, and the magic that happens when we travel with intention, curiosity and an open heart.

Stay tuned.💛✨

Standing on this ancient coast at Nanjulian, the place I first came to in 2009, I watched the Moon slowly take a bite out of the Sun. The light became strange and golden, the air cooled, the landscape grew quiet, and for a few extraordinary moments it felt as though the whole world had paused.

I kept thinking about the journey that brought me here. I had tried to plan this eclipse from Iceland, then Spain, searching for the “perfect” place. Finally, I surrendered and asked my guides to show me where I needed to be. Then my dear friend Jill casually mentioned that the eclipse would be visible at nearly 95% from Nanjulian, Cornwall. I knew immediately: I will be there!

And so I found myself back on the land where Miya and Connor once ran through the mossy hills, streams and little hidden places, nearly two decades ago. The same sea. The same horizon. A very different me.

And now, at midnight, a completely different celestial event-the Perseid meteor shower from one of the darkest places in the UK.

Tomorrow the journey continues—to St Michael's Mount, along the ancient landscape of Cornwall, and finally to Glastonbury, a place that has been calling me for years.

Perhaps that is what an eclipse really offers: a moment when the familiar becomes unfamiliar. When light and shadow meet. When we are reminded that nothing is permanent—and that there is extraordinary beauty in simply being here to witness it.

Sekhmet & the 8/8 Lion’s Gate

Sekhmet is the ancient Egyptian lioness goddess of solar power, protection, transformation, courage, and fierce compassion. Her name is often translated as “She Who Is Powerful,” and she carries the intensity of the Egyptian sun—both its life-giving warmth and its capacity to burn away what no longer serves.

The modern Lion’s Gate 8/8 is associated with the Sun in Leo, the star Sirius becoming prominent in the morning sky, and the symbolism of the number 8—often connected with cycles, infinity, power, and regeneration. While the specific 8/8 “portal” is a contemporary spiritual concept rather than an ancient Egyptian observance, it has a natural symbolic resonance with Sekhmet.

The lioness. The Sun. Power. Death and rebirth. Transformation.

That is where the connection becomes especially beautiful.

Sekhmet reminds us that transformation isn't always soft. Sometimes we need the courage to face what is true, release what has become too small, and step into our own power. She represents the fierce side of the divine feminine—the part of us that knows when to protect, when to act, and when to burn away what is no longer aligned.

And there is another layer that feels particularly fitting for 8/8: Sekhmet's story is deeply connected with the Sun and with the tension between destruction and restoration. In Egyptian mythology, her fierce power could become overwhelming, and her transformation into a more peaceful form is associated with restoration and healing. The fire that destroys can also become the fire that transforms.

On this 8/8 Lion's Gate, we can call upon the energy of Sekhmet—not as something outside ourselves, but as an archetype within us.

The lioness asks: What are you ready to stop carrying? What truth are you ready to stand in? What part of your life is asking for your courage?

May we remember our own inner fire. May we protect what is sacred. May we release what has completed its purpose. And may we walk through this threshold with the heart of the lioness—fierce, compassionate, courageous, and awake.

Blessings to you on this 888 day.

THE MAGIC OF CRYSTAL SOUND

There’s something extraordinary about hearing a quartz crystal singing bowl for the first time. The sound doesn’t just fill the room—it seems to move through you.

Our quartz crystal chakra bowls are tuned to the seven traditional chakra colors, creating a beautiful rainbow of sound and vibration—from grounding red at the Root to violet at the Crown. Each bowl offers its own unique tone, and together they create an experience that can feel deeply soothing, spacious, and alive.

You don't need to know anything about chakras or sound healing to enjoy them. You don't have to meditate. You don't have to believe in anything. Just listen. Breathe. Feel the vibration. Let your nervous system settle into the sound.

Quartz has a fascinating relationship with vibration, which is part of what makes these bowls so captivating. When played, the bowl creates sustained tones and rich harmonics that you can hear—and often physically feel.

Seven colors. Seven tones. Infinite ways to experience them.

Come listen for yourself at Inner Alchemy. You may be surprised by what happens when you simply give yourself permission to stop, listen, and receive.

Sometimes healing begins with a sound.

Shop is open and you are welcome!

Citrine | The Sun's Joy

There is something about Citrine that simply makes me smile.

It carries the warmth of the sun—joy, confidence, creativity, and the gentle reminder that abundance begins within. Connected to the Solar Plexus Chakra, Citrine encourages us to trust ourselves, take inspired action, and stay open to new possibilities. One of my favorite things about this crystal? It doesn't hold onto heavy energy, making it a beautiful companion to work with again and again.
As we move toward the Lion's Gate Portal, Citrine feels especially aligned with this season of expansion and manifestation. If you're setting intentions, place your Citrine on top of your written dreams and let it soak in the energy of the days ahead. Carry it in your left pocket to remain open to receiving unexpected blessings, or create a simple crystal grid to send your intentions out into the world.

Be sure to join us for Heavily Meditated in the forest on August 8 as we bask in the shine of the Lion’s Gate Portal.  Registration is required.

May this be a season of saying yes to your light, your gifts, and all that is waiting to unfold. ✨☀️

We have a beautiful collection of Citrine waiting for you at Inner Alchemy. Come find the one that's meant for you. 💛
