π | Match Report: Seattle Celtic G15 Pre-GA 2β1 NCA G15 π
finish the summer as champions after an entertaining and hard-fought 2β1 victory over NCA G15, who had beaten us the day before. Credit to NCA, they are a really good team with some excellent individual players, so we knew this would be a battle.
Tinley opened the scoring with an excellent half-volley into the far corner before Keira doubled the lead after some fantastic combination play around the edge of the box.
NCA pulled one back through a goal-line scramble after a great save from Hattie, who was an excellent addition to the team this weekend. She made some really important saves and her distribution was a huge asset. It was fantastic to see so many of the girls step up, fill different roles, and put their hands up when the team needed them.
A fantastic way to end the summer. The girls shown incredible character throughout.

π | Match Report: Seattle Celtic G13 Green 0-0 South Kitsap (Won on Pens)
had a fantastic tournament from start to finish, finishing the weekend as Xtreme Cup Champions after a brilliant run of results.
The girls opened the tournament on Friday with a 3β2 victory before following it up with two dominant performances on Saturday, winning 7β0 and 5β0 to book their place in the final.
The final was a tougher contest. In the second half, the girls really found their rhythm and played much more as a team. The movement throughout the field was excellent, and we created some fantastic opportunities but unfortunately we couldnβt quite break the deadlock.
That meant the game had to be decided from the penalty spot. After two rounds of PKs, the girls kept their composure and came out on top in the second round to lift the trophy!
A fantastic weekend from the whole group and a well-deserved championship. So proud of the girls and the way they competed throughout the tournament! ππͺ

π | Match Report: Seattle Celtic G10 Aspire 1β1 Valor ENCL-RL (Won 5β4 on Pens) π
finished the summer in fantastic fashion, lifting the trophy after a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Valor ENCL-RL, having qualified for the final by also defeating Washington Rush GA on penos earlier in the day!
Despite a positive start to the final, the girls found themselves 1β0 down. The girls had to grow back into the game, and Olivia released Shin-Whai down the wing. After some excellent work, Shin-Whai delivered a cross that was set back by Leighton to Carmen, who produced an absolute screamer from around 25 yards to level the game.
The penalty shootout was nervy and eventually went into sudden death, but Zoe made a crucial save to keep us alive. Collins stepped up for the final kick, kept her composure, and finished it to win the tournament!
A fantastic way to end the summer. This group has come such a long way, and it was incredibly rewarding to see them finish on top. πβοΈ
A special shoutout to Eliana G, who made her return to play this tournament following her ACL injury. Fantastic to have her back with the group!

π | Match Report: Seattle Celtic B14 EA 0β0 Harbor (5β4 on Pens) π
finish the summer as Zipfizz Cup Champions after an incredible weekend, capping it off with a penalty shootout victory over Harbor Premier EA in the final!
It was a really evenly matched final, with both teams putting absolutely everything into the match. Neither team could break the deadlock, and we headed for penalties.
Massive credit to the boys for stepping up, showing their composure, and keeping their nerve when it mattered most. Sammy stepped up for the final penalty and calmly slotted it home to win us the tournament!
The result is even more impressive considering we lost to Harbor in our opening game of the tournament. To respond like we did says everything about the character and togetherness within the group.
What a way to finish the summer for the boys. ππβοΈ

π | Match Report: Seattle Celtic G08 GA 2β1 XF 09 ECRL π
finished the weekend as champions with a fantastic performance against XF 09 ECRL. We had played XF on Friday morning and were beaten after an impressive performance from the opposition, so this was always going to be a big test of the girls mentality.
Possession was more limited than in our other group-stage games, but when we had the ball, the girls were purposeful and brave in retaining possession under pressure. The first half was tough, but we battled hard and we found the breakthrough midway through the first half with a quick attack down the right. Bryce delivered an excellent cross, and Piper crashed the back post to finish from close range. XF equalized just before halftime however which left the game in the balance.
The second half was a completely different story. We were much better both defensively and in possession, moved the ball with greater purpose, and became more aggressive in winning the ball higher up the field. We created a few opportunities and, most importantly, defended extremely well to protect the lead.
The winner came from a Bryce corner, with Lucia rising to head home and give us the 2β1 lead. From there, the girls showed excellent composure and mentality to close the game out!
Massive credit to the girls for the way they responded to Fridayβs result. To come back against the same opponent and show this level of character is something to be extremely proud of. π
