Trail fix kind of day.
Somewhere along the ride, I went down and the chain came off my 250. Not ideal… but also not the end of the day.
So we learned something new. Right there on the trail. Figured it out, got it back on, and kept going. Big thanks to a friend on the other end of the phone talking us through it.
Rides like this remind me it’s not just about where you go. It’s what you learn along the way.
What’s something a breakdown taught you?

Well… there’s another bike in the garage!
I decided to buy this 2015 WR250F from a friend. It feels like opening a new door to more dirt, more skills, and more chances to explore places I might have skipped before.
I’m excited to see what this summer brings and what I learn on this little bike.
If you could add one bike to your garage, what would it be and why?

61 degrees, gotta get on two wheels!

Some days call for company.
Some days call for quiet.
I needed a solo ride, so I headed north to the Hood Canal Bridge and sat by the water for a while. I love riding with my friends, but it had been a long time since I just went out on my own. This was a good reminder that my wind therapy is always right outside my door, waiting when I need it.
How do you know when it’s time to ride solo?

Pulled over near Elbe for a minute.
I’m not getting out as much as I want this winter. New job. Busy days. Cold air that sinks into everything.
But I’m still riding when I can. Still turning wrenches with friends when boxes of new parts show up on the porch.
Seasons change. Priorities shift. The road waits.
How are you staying connected to the things you love right now?

I took the Hard Enduro class at Dirt Bike Safety Training yesterday.
I wasn’t ready for the log jumps and that is completely fine.
There was plenty to learn without leaving the ground. Slow turns. Balance. Little skills that make the big stuff possible later.
Came home tired and sore. Came home happy.
What skill are you working on right now that feels small but matters big?

Rode to a class an hour away because the sky finally stopped leaking.
Cold air in the mid 40s settled into my hands (despite the heated gloves) and stayed there.
Lights everywhere on the way home. My Indian glowing in the reflections.
Dinner with a good friend after class warmed me up in the ways that matter.
Nights like this remind me why I keep rolling even when the season tries to slow me down.
What’s the coldest temp you’ll ride in before you call it for the day?

Still thinking about those Colorado roads.
I’m home now, but my mind keeps drifting back to those dirt roads and mountain views. Long days, high elevation, and a whole lot of fun. Every ride out there reminded me why I love doing this; pushing a little farther, breathing a little deeper, feeling alive in every mile.
What ride are you still thinking about long after you’ve unpacked?
KTM USA

Day two of the KTM USA 2025 Rally, green route again... We were told at the riders meeting this morning there was a difficult 3 miles at the beginning, but that was the hardest part. Well, it rained the night before and the soil is mostly clay, which means it was more than slippery. That 3 mile section took almost 3 hours for us to get through, and that was after the KTM ambassadors came back and helped ride our bikes through it. I was so thankful they helped, I know I would have been trying to just walk my bike thru if they hadn't been there.
The rest of the ride was easy gravel road, but we went back after lunch to avoid the projected thunderstorm we could see coming our way.
