Try closing your eyes for a moment or keeping a soft gaze. There’s something about the sound of rain that feels relatable to most. It transports and has such a cleansing and nourishing quality, almost like watering something so it can grow, while washing away what is no longer needed.

This large rainstick has a 100% bamboo shell, with an interior designed to create the sounds of trickling water as it falls through. You can use it to mimic rain, a stream, or even a waterfall.

Dies this sound transport you?💫

The word ocarina comes from Italy and literally means “little goose.” An ancient type of wind instrument, the ocarina is a form of vessel flute with roots in cultures around the world.

This harmonic ocarina from .creations is tuned to G3 / 440 Hz and creates a calming, deep, low drone-like sound. It’s small and quiet, making it great for solo play or a 1:1 session in a more intimate space. It does take a bit of breath to play, which I’m still working on 😅

How does the sound land for you? It kind of makes me want to take a nap. 😴

Anyone else have a long day today? Come wind down with me. 💫

Formed in a geometric pyramid shape, this 8” titanium quartz crystal chime creates bright, layered tones with a beautiful, lingering resonance. When I slowly spin it during a sound session, the sound creates an almost echoing, spacious effect that feels a little mysterious and sci-fi.

I love using it to clear or shift the energy in a space. Anyone notice the light flicker toward the end? That was definitely the pyramid! 👀✨

Originating in ancient Greece, this is one of those instruments that instantly draws people in. A monochord has multiple strings tuned to the same note, creating a deep, continuous drone when strummed. The sound seems to echo and fill the room without being overpowering, creating an almost hypnotic atmosphere.

I love using mine to begin or end a meditation or yoga class, and it pairs nicely with vocalization and other instruments. It’s unusual, simple, and surprisingly captivating.

Mine is tuned to Low C with a mahogany soundboard, hand-built by .

Could you sit and listen to this one for a while?💫

Listen, pause, and take a breath✨ One of my most temperamental instruments… or maybe I should say, one with the most personality. 😊 It’s a bit of a loose cannon in a sound bath because I never quite know how it will behave that day, but I am practicing.

This Native American-style double (or drone) flute creates two sounds at once: melody on one side and a continuous drone on the other. It can sound like two people are playing, and people are often amazed trying to figure out where the two sounds are coming from. The effect is incredibly transporting. 💫

This F♯ minor flute is handcrafted from Spanish Cedar by in the Sonoran Desert (Arizona).

What do you hear in this one?

Don’t underestimate the power of this small but mighty instrument. One of my favorite simple meditations is to strike the chime and focus on the sound until it completely fades away. It gives the busy mind a single point of focus. In fact, you could create an entire sound healing experience with just this one instrument. 💫

Tingsha chimes are a pair of small metal cymbals from the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. They can be used to mark the beginning or end of a meditation practice, clear a space, or simply bring a scattered mind back to the present moment.

Try it now🌟 Could you follow the sound all the way to silence?

Are you still with me?😊 These nine handmade, hand-tuned Solfeggio pipes, made by in India, were a bit of a setup to transport to sound baths, so they’ve become part of the backdrop in my home. I was immediately drawn to their beautiful sound and the almost hypnotic way the pipes sway as they’re played. It’s hard to walk by without giving them a little tap. 💫

Solfeggio frequencies are a set of tones traditionally associated with ancient Gregorian chants and are often used today in sound healing for their relaxing and meditative qualities. Each pipe produces a different frequency associated with energetic qualities and intentions such as grounding, transformation, connection, intuition, and spiritual awareness.

How do these sounds land for you?🎶

When people think of sound healing, they often picture singing bowls, but there are so many nuances to this practice and ways to experience sound. Different instruments can mimic the sounds of nature or even reflect our own internal rhythms.

This extra large Pangi Rattle, which I found at , is handcrafted in Indonesia and produces a sound that reminds me of a gently trickling stream. The long handle makes it easy to carry, creating a beautiful, flowing effect.

What does it sound like to you? 💫
