Here at H&H, my barrel horses are made, not bought. I hear it all the time, “it’s just as hard to ride a finished horse as it is to make one yourself.”
Respectfully I could not disagree more.
I see people strapped to the back of 100k horses, winning in the 1D and getting praised… Hate to break it to you; that’s a talented horse, not rider.
Dont get me wrong, I am NOT shaming those who buy nice horses. If you can buy it and have the real skills to match, or are in the process of developing those skills… As a coach, that is when I get excited!
What I am pointing out is the industry normal, where money talks and foundational riding is irrelevant. I plan on changing that narrative; to demonstrate a strong lower leg, a quiet seat, and a professional appearance. I expect the same from my students. We all started somewhere and education is power.
This beautiful horse named “Red” is rehabbing from a fractured coffin bone and is expected to make a full recovery under the veterinarian and farrier’s watchful eye. Am I stoked to professionally compete with him? Absolutely, but I am in no hurry. We are strategic and plan on doing this right, all the way to the top.
Need help with your angles, seat, concepts? After years of coaching hundreds of people every week at my ranch in person, I am stepping into an online coaching role to help people outside of Northern CA! Comment “H&H Barrels,” and we will jump on a free consultation call. If I can’t help you, I won’t coach you! Limited spots available, I look forward to connecting with you and helping you get as far as you want to go🤍
keep an eye out for this horse❤️🔥
