Our first shipment of the VoyaX MOSSA 128 finally showed up, and we’ve been looking forward to getting these kayaks for quite a while.

This is a really well thought out fishing kayak. There’s a lot of technology packed into it, but it doesn’t feel like technology was added just for the sake of having it. The XPDL system gives you manual pedal, pedal assist, and full electric modes, along with 360-degree steering. Then you have features like SpotHold, Course Lock and the different cruise functions that should actually be useful when you’re fishing instead of constantly having to manage the kayak.

The hull, seat, storage, rigging space and overall fit and finish are also impressive in person. It feels like VoyaX put a lot of thought into how somebody is actually going to use this kayak on the water.

We’re really excited to get one of these out ourselves and spend some time fishing from it. SpotHold in particular is something we want to put through its paces.

Apparently we weren’t the only ones waiting for them. All but ONE from our first shipment are already sold.

The new Exocet Cross boards have arrived!

Just unboxed one of these at the shop and this thing looks GOOD in person. The new Cross has that classic do-it-all shape that has always made this board such a fun choice, but the latest version looks seriously dialed.

The Cross is built to bridge the gap between freeride and wave sailing, so you’re not locked into one style of riding. Go blast around on flat water, jump it, carve it, or set it up for waves — this is the kind of board you can throw in the van when you’re not exactly sure what the conditions are going to give you.

One of the things I really like is the amount of setup flexibility. You’ve got multiple footstrap positions along with a Power Box center fin and twin Slot Boxes, so you can tune the board for the way and conditions you want to sail it.

Check out that shape and finish in the photos. The blue looks awesome, the deck setup feels really comfortable, and the board just feels like it wants to be on the water.
