WES HELMS HITTING CAMP - October 16-18th

Hitters Baseball is excited to welcome Wes Helms for a special three-day hitting camp this October!
Wes brings 12 years of Major League Baseball experience and is the CEO of CamWood Bats. Players will get the opportunity to learn the mechanics, fundamentals, approach, and preparation required to compete against high-level pitching.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16 — SOFTBALL
Youth Softball: 5:00–6:30 PM
High School Softball: 6:30–8:00 PM
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17 — SOFTBALL & BASEBALL
Youth Softball: 9:00–10:30 AM

WHAT PLAYERS WILL LEARN
Day One — Mechanics & Fundamentals
We’ll dig into the mechanics and fundamentals of hitting from the ground up, helping players understand how to put their bodies in the best position to consistently impact the baseball.
Day Two — Approach & Competing
We’ll dig into approach during training and in the game—learning how to practice with purpose, prepare for an at-bat, and translate cage work into game success.
Players will learn what it takes to put themselves in the best position to hit the best pitching out there at any level.

Sparta Post 100 16u’s season came to an end tonight. The boys played Antigo extremely tough but ran out of gas! Back to back years making a state run is extremely impressive but to do it with a new cast of characters makes this trip even more enjoyable. Could not be proud of their effort today, this past weekend, and this season.

Sparta Post 100 16U fell to Antigo 16 ST 16U 5-1 on Saturday at 3301 S Prairie Ave.

Antigo 16 ST 16U opened the scoring in the first after Bentley Knutson singled, scoring one run.

Elliot Brey grounded out, which helped Sparta Post 100 16U tie the game at one in the top of the third.

An error gave Antigo 16 ST 16U the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the fourth.

Knutson earned the win for Antigo 16 ST 16U. The pitcher gave up zero hits and one run over three innings, striking out one and walking five. Kyan Downing took the loss for Sparta Post 100 16U. The hurler went six innings, surrendering five runs (zero earned) on six hits, striking out two and walking none.

Brey led Sparta Post 100 16U with one run batted in. Landon Zwolinski went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Sparta Post 100 16U in hits. Gus Lopez led Sparta Post 100 16U with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting six walks for the game.

Knutson provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Antigo 16 ST 16U with two runs batted in. The pitcher went 2-for-3 on the day.

Sparta Post 100 16U Earn Walk-Off Win Over PdC 16u Post 68

Sparta Post 100 16U took Saturday's game in dramatic fashion, with an 8-7 walk-off victory over PdC 16u Post 68 at 3301 S Prairie Ave. The game was tied at seven in the bottom of the seventh when Gus Lopez singled, scoring one run.

Presten Ebert, Beckett Iverson, and Hudson Nading at the bottom of Sparta Post 100 16U's lineup combined for five of the team's 10 hits in their victory. They scored four runs and drove in three.

Sparta Post 100 16U got on the board in the second inning after Iverson singled, scoring one run.

A fielder's choice by Nading, a single by Iverson, and a fielder's choice by Brady Diercks helped Sparta Post 100 16U extend their early lead in the third.

PdC 16u Post 68 scored six runs on three hits in the top of the seventh inning. Kadyn Erdenberger singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Zach Quick drew a walk, scoring one run, Parker Bedward doubled, scoring one run, and Warren Peterson singled, scoring one run.

Iverson earned the win for Sparta Post 100 16U. The pitcher surrendered five hits and seven runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out 10 and walking one. Blake Konichek took the loss for PdC 16u Post 68. The hurler went one-third of an inning, allowing one run on two hits, striking out one and walking two. Erdenberger stepped on the mound first for PdC 16u Post 68. The starter surrendered eight hits and seven runs (two earned) over five and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking two.

Sparta Post 100 16U piled up 10 hits in the game. Iverson, the number nine hitter for Sparta Post 100 16U, led the way with two runs batted in. The switch hitter went 4-for-4 on the day.

Peterson, Brady Ingham, Bedward, Erdenberger, and Brice Krachey each collected one hit for PdC 16u Post 68. Peterson, Bedward, Erdenberger, and Krachey each drove in one run for PdC 16u Post 68.

Sparta now plays at 5:30 against Antigo to keep their season alive!
