We are grateful to accept this recognition on behalf of the many people who have helped shape Bloomsday over the last 50 years.
We want to acknowledge our founder, Don Kardong, whose vision created something that has become woven into the fabric of Spokane. His humble leadership and belief in community laid the foundation for everything we celebrate today.
It was also a privilege to hear perennial, former race director, and board member, Silvia Quinn's reflections and be reminded of the important role she played in helping guide and grow this legacy.

Through the generosity of Bloomsday participants during registration, more than $22,000 was raised for our 2026 Charity of Choice, the Riverside State Park Foundation !

These funds will help support critical park improvements and trail-building projects, enhance community events and educational programs, and provide the equipment needed to keep Riverside State Park accessible, sustainable, and beautiful for generations to come.

Thank you to everyone who chose to give during registration. Your support extends far beyond race day and helps strengthen one of our region's most treasured outdoor spaces.
