Spot Yer Rump! Competitive Trail Ride

Eisenhower State Park Melvern Lake
Saturday, October 7, 2023

Directions
Eisenhower State Park is located in Osage County, on the North shore of Melvern Lake. South of Topeka 30 miles on Hwy US-75, then 3 miles west on K-278.

Trails are easy with some rock—a good barefoot trail!

ALL MOTDRA RULES APPLY!

Animals must be at least:
4 years of age for the 25-mile ride
3 years of age for the 15-mile ride

Current (within one year), negative Coggins Test required.
All out-of-state horses must have a health certificate dated within 30 days.
Horses should be capable of a 5-6 mile-per-hour pace.
No liniments or drugs of any kind. Insect repellents, electrolytes, food supplements, etc. are O.K.

Junior Riders must have a signed parent/guardian release and a predetermined riding adult sponsor.
Junior Riders MUST wear a riding helmet!

Entry Fees:
$45 25-mile ride
$35 15-mile ride
$30 8-10-mile introductory ride
$30 Junior Riders

Camping is the rider’s responsibility. Reserve your electric site ASAP!

No online reservations. Primitive sites also available.

Ride Vet: Dr. Jeanie Hauser, DVM
Pre-ride vet-in starts Friday, Sep 1, after 5:00 p.m.
Ride Meeting starts Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Sandwiches provided Saturday after the ride.

Ride Time: Daylight TBA
Awards: 1st–6th place
