I’m excited and honored to introduce this week’s Athlete of the Week: Josiah!

A 10th grader at Hightower High School, Josiah began playing basketball at age 13 and has already earned a spot on the varsity team as a sophomore!

Basketball is his sole athletic focus, and he continues to put in the work. He trains hard in Coach Kelvin’s basketball classes and works with our other Redline coaches to improve his speed and agility.

Josiah’s goals extend beyond the court: He hopes to play college basketball, study Computer Science and Business Management, and one day reach the professional level.

We’re proud to have Josiah as part of our Redline family and are excited to celebrate this achievement. Keep working toward those big goals, Josiah!

TRIPLE THE TALENT. Three brothers, one unbreakable bond, and a shared commitment to showing up with joy, purpose, and heart.

Joyful. Just. Judicious.
Motivated. Modest. Mindful.

The J’s stand for Jordan, Julian, and Joshua. The M stands for Manzano—hard-working athletes with joyful spirits, a strong sense of justice, and thoughtful hearts.

When young athletes embody these qualities, supporting their ambitions is a no-brainer. From the moment we met them, these three stole our hearts. Every time they step into our gym, they remind us why they belong there: ready to work, eager to learn, and determined to give their best.

It is an honor to be part of their journey—to believe in them, invest in their growth, and cheer them on as they pursue their goals.

Meet Redline Sugar Land’s first sponsored triplets and our Athletes of the Week: Jordan, Julian, and Joshua Manzano.

Three brothers. Three ambitions. One very proud Redline family. Join us in celebrating the Manzano triplets!

This week, one spotlight wasn’t enough.

Our Athletes of the Week are Alex Powers and Zavian (Tuckie) Thompson—two best friends who are brothers in every way that matters.

Since becoming best friends in fifth grade, they’ve supported each other on and off the court, on and off the field, and through life. Their bond deserves to be celebrated right alongside their individual accomplishments.

I’ve had the honor of being part of both of their lives and watching them grow, cheer each other on, and stand by one another. Featuring one without the other simply wouldn’t have felt complete.

This week, we’re celebrating them both. Two athletes, two individual journeys, and a brotherhood that makes each one even more special.

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Zavian (Tuckie) Thompson

Football A-team in both seventh and eighth grade. Track star. A basketball player finding his passion and growing his game.

Tuckie joined Redline in fifth grade, and we’ve been blessed to watch him develop across all three sports. He works hard with every coach, putting time and effort into becoming a stronger athlete.

Along the way, he found his love for basketball. He continues to work on his craft with Coach Kelvin, and his growth earned him an invitation to our advanced basketball class—an exciting step in his journey.

Tuckie, we’re proud of your accomplishments and the work you put in to reach them. I am so blessed to have you as part of my life and our Redline family, watching you evolve as an athlete and a young man both on and off the field and court.

Happy National Coaches Day to Coach Kelvin, Coach Derrick, Coach Delaine, Coach Mya, and Coach Deion.

Your selflessness and the heart you pour into our children are what make Redline special. Every hour you give, every word of encouragement, and every moment you spend helping an athlete believe in themselves leaves an impact that reaches far beyond our facility.

You’re helping shape their confidence, character, and futures. They will carry the lessons you teach long after the season ends.

You deserve to be celebrated every day. Each of you brings something irreplaceable to our Redline family, and I am so grateful our athletes have you in their corner.

Thank you for showing up, giving back, and caring so deeply. You make this place great.

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: ALEX POWERS

Meet Alex, 13—a longtime member of our Redline family with a love for sports and one of the biggest hearts you’ll find.

Alex has played select baseball since age six and trained at Redline since age eight, before we purchased the business. He currently plays 14U Majors and competed in Cooperstown with a national baseball team this summer. He’s also finishing football season and loves basketball.

Alex works with all our coaches and has so much love for each of them. His hard work, humility, and kindness make us just as proud as his athletic dedication.

Congratulations, Alex! We’re proud to celebrate you this week and grateful you’re part of our Redline family.

COLLEGE SHOUT-OUT: RONNIE VAUGHN III

There was never much question about who we wanted to feature first.

Ronnie is an incredible athlete, but this shout-out means so much more than basketball. He is one of those young men you simply feel blessed to meet.

We’ve had the privilege of watching Ronnie train and grow alongside Coach Bebe, Coach Deion and Coach Kelvin. He showed up ready to work, willing to learn, and always carried himself with humility, kindness and respect.

And once you meet his parents, you understand exactly where it comes from. They raised an amazing young man, and we feel incredibly fortunate to know this entire family.

Having Ronnie choose to hold his college signing right here at Redline made this journey even more special.

That’s why Ronnie is our FIRST College Shout-Out.

Because Redline isn’t only about developing great athletes. Character matters, and Ronnie represents exactly what we hope to see in the young people who walk through our doors.

Ronnie, thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey.

From training at Redline → signing at Redline → Ottawa University Basketball.

We are so proud of you. This is only the beginning.
