The SabreCats performed well at this morning’s tournament, with a silver for Brandy Lawless and a bronze for Peixin Li Both made good adjustments during their matches, listened well to their Coach, and came away with solid evidence of their hard work and attention to technique. Then everyone went to lunch at Mi Lupita's Kitchen in Red Bank to celebrate the medals and Paula’s birthday. Looking forward to the next tournament road trip!

RCFC’s very own Coach Kate Sierra was part of the group from USA Fencing that participated in the closing bell ceremony today for the NASDAQ stock exchange. She even got her face up on Times Square! Kate will be representing Team USA in the Veteran World Championships in Tbilisi, Georgia this upcoming October!

Steve competed at Escrimeur Fencers Club in a Division 2 event this morning, coming in 5th out of 15 fencers. He fenced well in pools, winning 3 bouts out of four, then won his first DE in a nailbiter 15-13. He lost to the eventual champion 8-15 but made a lot of good adjustments and fought hard for every touch. Great job today, SabreCat!!
