The Sturgeon Summer Days Rodeo crew would like to congratulate Bar H Rodeo on being named Stock Contractor of the Year, along with all the other stock awards they received!

These awards are well deserved and show the hard work and dedication the entire Bar H Rodeo crew puts into their rodeos and livestock.

We also want to thank everyone at Bar H Rodeo for everything they do to help make our rodeo in Sturgeon a success. We are lucky to work with such a great group of people and appreciate everything they do for us.

Congratulations again to the entire Bar H Rodeo crew! We look forward to many more great rodeos together!

The Sturgeon Rodeo crew is saddened to hear about the passing of Brian Doyle.

Brian was the owner of Brian’s Western Buys, a booth filled with all things western that traveled to rodeos across the country. We were fortunate to have Brian choose to come to Sturgeon for the past two years, and we’re thankful for the time we got to spend with him.

Brian was a great guy to work with and even better to be around. He never treated anyone differently—everyone was a friend to Brian. He was also a big supporter of the kids and mutton busting. Both years he came to Sturgeon, Brian generously donated buckles for our mutton busting winners and was always happy to support the kids.

His kindness, generosity, and presence will truly be missed around the rodeo grounds.

Rest in peace, Brian. We’ll miss seeing you in Sturgeon every year, but we know you’ll be watching over us. Ride high, cowboy.

View Brian Thomas Doyle's obituary, send flowers, find service dates, and sign the guestbook.

Rodeo fans we had a great first night here in Sturgeon last night. Tonight it’s going to be even bigger and better. We only ask one thing of our fans tonight! When closing ceremonies start and you see that American flag and hear Toby Keith playing we need you to sing along loud and proud, that’s all we ask for!!

We look forward to seeing everyone again tonight for night number 2 of the Sturgeon Summer Days Rodeo!

We found a wallet under the bleachers this morning if you’re missing one let us know. You’ll have to describe it and what’s in it and we’ll return it to you!

We’re two days away from rodeo action. Here’s a map of the layout. It’ll look the same as last year but bigger and better!

Rodeo contestants with trailers here’s a little note for you!

Just a heads up for everyone hauling a trailer, Robinson Road will be closed for entry, so you’ll need to come in a different way.

Coming from CC:
Stay on Canada Street to Ogden Street and take a left. Go to Davis Street and take another left. Follow Davis around onto Turner Street, then follow it around to Jones Street. Jones will take you straight into the parking lot.

Coming from Highway 22:
Turn onto Audrain Street and come through town. Take a right on Davis Street and follow it around onto Turner and then Jones Street. That’ll take you right into the parking lot.

These will be the easiest routes for trucks and trailers. Please share this with any contestants coming in so everybody knows where to go!
