Since everyone enjoyed it so much, we will once again run both Option 1 and 2 for EVERY stage. (10 total stages). Come early Saturday to help set up. Yesterday Regulators Rimfire hosted our regularly scheduled monthly NRL22 match. This month we did something a bit different. We set up targets for both option 1 and 2 for each stage. Following the safety brief, we flipped a coin to determine if option 1 or 2 would be scored as the official NRL22 monthly COF, which would then relegate the other option to a bonus stage. With the help of Dominic’s wizardry on Practiscore, we were able to identify the overall ten stage match winner, the NRL22 official match winner, the option 1 winner, and the option 2 winner.

I must say that the feedback was overwhelmingly positive and it was easy to see why. We shot 10 stages (with LOTS of smack talking) in only 4 hours. Everyone got a chance to shoot each engagement sequence and prop twice; greatly reinforcing skills and practice. Everyone got to experience shortened par times AND longer ranges. For those helping a young gun (or two) the workload on dad was much more manageable. It’s easier on the MDs to only set up 5 props and not have to think of bonus stages.

Overall, a huge success. We look forward to doing it again soon.

Congratulations to Brad Sullivan for the overall 10 stage match win. While Brad didn’t win the official match of record, he was the top sharpshooter and beat enough sharpshooters (and an expert “cough Dominic cough”) to still earn another point towards Expert. The race is on between Brad and Austin to see who can class up first.

Good morning Regulators! It looks like the heat dome is finally breaking up, bringing some glorious fall weather and temperature relief. This Saturday 9/26/2026, we will be hosting our regularly scheduled NRL22 - National Rimfire League club match.

We are going to try something different. We will shoot all 5 monthly NRL22 stages as BOTH OPTION 1 AND 2. That's right, 10 total stages. Following the safety brief, we will flip a coin for each stage to determine if option 1 or 2 shall be the "official" NRL course of fire; the other will become a bonus stage. We will shoot the official stage for record first, then immediately shoot the stage again as a bonus. The squad order will continue to rotate i.e.: no one will shoot the same stage first both times.

Through Dom's wizadry with Practiscore, we will identify and congratulate the winner for: 1) The official 5 stage NRL22 points match (determined by coin flip), 2) The 5 stage option 1 winner, 3) the 5 stage option 2 winner, and 4) The combined 10 stage overall winner.

Get signed up today and we hope to see you Saturday morning on the firing line. If you are available Saturday morning to help set up, please come early. Extra hands really make set up a breeze.

Brad the Intern and myself went to the range this evening and got all the targets set and props in place. If you were thinking of coming early tommorrow to help set up, no need. Zeroing officially opens at 8:00 (though we will probably be there by 7:15) with safety brief at 8:45 and the match begins at 9:00; RAIN OR SHINE.

Thanks to Dominc Thompson for the bonus stages and COF. See you guys tomorrow morning

**Update on our PRS Match held 3/28/26**

PRS has continued to struggle to fully move from Practiscore to their officicial scoring partner; Impact Scoring. Rather than continuing to wait for PRS/Impact to pull scores from Practiscore AND thanks to the generosity and technical skills of NRL22 - National Rimfire League Co-Owner Dominic Thompson, we were able to completely recreate the match in Impact Scoring, transfer scores, AND pay for the match submission. As far as we can tell, we have done everything within our power to get your scores posted to the PRS Leader Board. The rest is in their hands. We will advise if we hear anything else on our end.

Regulators! Important announcement. Our April, May, and June rimfire matches have been cancelled.

Registration is far behind the required 10 for a sancctioned PRS event. May brings multiple conflicts for myself and others. June is the NRL finale and will conflict yet again. July will be our next attempt.

To be honest, I don't know if it will be PRS or NRL. PRS is in a big transition right now and still hasn't published scores for last months match. Additionally, NRL simply provides FAR FAR more resources to assist MD's with match admin that is simply invaluable until you try to do this without it. Plus NRL has more attainable minimum shooter quotas.

If you have a thought one way or the other, please drop a comment. We are welcome to suggestions.
