We built three shooting ranges on our 48 acre training facility for everyone to enjoy with an emphasis on having a safe place to shoot ri**es, pistols and sh****ns. Club objectives: To build a range for everyone to enjoy with an emphasis on involving the youth of Western Kentucky to the sport of sh***un shooting.

10-24-26 Final match of the season, As-Issued military r***e or NRA Highpower! 200-yard targets

The last competition of the year will be the As-Issued military r***e or the NRA Highpower match r***e (use either type r***e) to be held Saturday, October the 24th at the R***e Range (follow driveway leading to the south side of the enclosed range). Distance is 195 yards. Kevin McCauley 270-519-3660 will be
the match director. The current range record is held by Larry Evans of Sikeston Missouri with a 485-12X.

Our Long Range 22 match winner is John Gallimore from Fulton, Kentucky. John had an outstanding score of 395-15x and is now our new range record holder and duly crowned King of the 22’s, but he may not want to rest on his achievement as Leanne Patterson from Dyersburg, Tennessee was second and
may determine that next time a queen should be the rightful heir to the coveted title of range record holder! John Topolski was close behind in third. The club wants to thank Terry Hallum and John Topolski for arriving early and preparing the target frames and targets for the competition.

Shout Out to Brad Davidson, Match Director at Tennessee Sports Foundation for the upcoming Tennessee State Championship CMP Rimfire Sporter Match; Saturday, October 17th with a one-
hour practice session to be held Friday afternoon (the 16 th ) from 5 to 6 PM. Contact Brad at [email protected] or 731-695-1879 as the competition is limited to 20 competitors. The
first relay starts at 10:00 A.M. and the second will begin at approximately 11:20.

The 2026 Rimfire Sporter Competition Season is officially in the books and John Topolski (the Finest of Dyersburg, TN) is our June Champion. He was closely followed by Jerry Stringham (Our very own from Wickliffe, KY) and finally in 3rd place is a first-time podium winner Adam Morales. Adam is from Newburn, TN and raised his score 21 points from the last match! Once again, it appears that Tennessee water is fabulous for your eyesight as all our Tennessee competitors are amazing shots.

NOTE: The 22 Long Range Benchrest competition (195 yards) will be Saturday September 12th, at 9:00 A.M. The only rule is 22 rimfire cartridge – unlimited equipment: gun, rest, scope etc. Our current range record holder is Teddy Clymer from Reagan, TN with a 392-19X of 400-40.

The final NRA Highpower match will be Saturday October 24th at 9A.M. Contact Kevin McCauley at 270-519-3660 for information.

Brad Davidson and Tennessee Sports Foundation will be hosting the CMP Rimfire Sporter Tennessee State Championship on October 16th (practice match) and 17th (championship). The Henry County Gun Club has competitions every weekend with Dennis Sanderson, Tony Lacy and Tim Kreier being r***e match directors.
