We know many of you have questions about the recent update to Pierce County Parks Specialized Recreation programming and its connection to Special Olympics Washington (SOWA) competitions.

The power is back on, and we’re thrilled to announce that we will resume normal operations by 11:30 AM. 🎉 We can't wait to see everyone back in action!

Alert: Sprinker Recreation Center Closure
Due to a significant power outage in the area, Sprinker Recreation Center is currently closed to the public. However, the outdoor complex remains open for use, although the Splash Pad is not operational at this time.

Elmhurst Mutual Power and Light Company is working to resolve this issue and we will provide updates as soon as we have more information.

Join the Pierce County Sheriff's Office for an evening of fun, connection, and community at National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4th, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Sprinker Recreation Park in Parkland! National Night Out is a nationwide celebration that brings neighbors and law enforcement together to build stronger relationships, safer neighborhoods, and a greater sense of community. It's your chance to meet the deputies who serve your community, get to know your neighbors, and enjoy an evening filled with conversation and family-friendly fun.

We'll be joined by our partners at Pierce County Parks, and there will be food trucks on site, so bring your appetite, or pack a picnic, and spend the evening with us! Whether you've attended before or this is your first National Night Out, we hope you'll come be part of this special event. We can't wait to see you there!
