Happy final senior Sunday of the semester! We are shouting out our last senior the magnificent John Weldon!
John is a nursing major (🧑⚕️) and has been a trip leader for like 2 and a half years. During that time he says his favorite memories always take place at the Outdoor Rec Christmas Party (maybe it’s the gifts).

Trip leader tuesday!!! Time to post again. If y’all forgot I’m Amari, I am Elementary Education major & one of the directors of Outdoor Rec. I’m also a senior graduating in May!
Throughout my time with Outdoor Rec my fav trip was to Redwoods for spring break in 2023, I met so many cool people, and it was what helped me decide that I wanted to be a trip leader! Also I have a twin that I’m 5 minutes older than 👯 (that’s my fun fact)

We are almost done with Senior Sundays!! This week big shoutout to the show stopping, head turning Addy Keller!
Addy is Bachelor of fine Arts in Design and Technical Theatre, and minoring in both dance in studio arts! (🎭) Addy has been a trip leader for about two years now, but going on outdoor rec trips for much longer, because one of her best memories was on the NSO hike, her freshman year.

Happy Tuesday, this week we’re back, and shouting out probably our youngest trip leader… Lucas!!! Lucas is a freshman who is double majoring in Biology and Environmental Sciences (🐿️🌲). His favorite Outdoor Rec trip so far has been a hike at Mt. Si. When Lucas isn’t doing the coolest things ever he is also a Habitat Steward at Wapato Hills park. Go Lucas!!

It’s time for another senior sunday shoutout! This week we’re shouting out the effortlessly effervescent Amanda!
Amanda is a double major in History and Gender, Sexuality, and Racial Studies with a Minor in Religion (📚 super studious). Amanda has been a trip leader for about three years now and throughout that time her favorite memory is sitting around a campfire during Spring Break of 2025 stargazing, and having one of the best yap seshes ever.

Happy happy Sunday! This Senior Sunday we’re shouting out our Gear Director, the amazingly spectacular Peter!!
Peter is Majoring in Biology (ask him about birds) and minoring in Hispanic Studies. He has been with Outdoor Rec for all four years of his time at PLU 🙀. During that time his favorite memory was going on a surfing trip freshman year, he was even able to stand up on the board!

It’s time for another edition of Trip Leader Tuesday!! This week we are shouting out the one and only Natalie Mashue!
Natalie is a second year biology student who is going down the premed path 🩻. She has been a trio leader for a year now, and during that year she has gone in many trips with her favorite being the Vantage Climbing Trip, a trip she wants to do again! Fun fact: NatalIe competitively races mountain bikes!

Parker like his brother is a second year junior. He is majoring in biology and minoring in Chinese Studies. Last semester was his first as a trip leader as well. His favorite trip to go on and lead is rock climbing at the Seattle Bouldering Project! 🧗 If you couldn’t guess already Parker is a twin (but to who?)

Time for another trip leader Tuesday, and this time we have two! Both are actually celebrating their birthday today. First up is the twin in Namibia Paxton!!
Paxton is a second year junior who is majoring in biology and minoring in chemistry.🧑🔬 Last semester was his first with outdoor rec, and his favorite trip that’s he’s been on was kayaking at Hood Canal. He absolutely loves the Green M&M too!

It’s Sunday again which means it is time to shoutout another awesome senior on the outdoor rec crew. This time it’s the other half of the directing team, the colorfully creative Justice Holmes!
Justice is a studio art major with a concentration in oil painting and ceramics and minoring French & Francophone studies (wow so busy!) She has also been with Outdoor Rec for about 3 years! During that time her favorite memory is
cold plunging in glacier water at Lake Chelan in Holden Village with friends and fellow trip leaders during the trip leader retreat! Go Justice!
