The question most didnt ask for BUT several demanded to be discussed ~
Whats the deal with paintball, ai***ft & MagFed (paintball)?
The two hobbies/sports have exceedingly different player bases overall, though some do play both. Like comparing a Call of Duty fan/player to an Escape from Tarkov fan/player, very different systems and very different dynamics.
Paintball & ai***ft arent too far off the mark comparing by expense but ai***ft is overall still cheaper by a fair margin. When it comes down to it the different is gas requires a fill station (HPA paintball tanks) and ai***ft foremost is a bolt (no external power source) or battery powered charged via 20$ smart charger. BBs dont expire and paint does ;/
Realistically paintball stays alive because of large events and venue set of parties/groups whereas ai***ft, even without the lucrative events, has such a large casual player base due to its ease of play. +or local paintball fields having a strong fan base.
Neither is better than the other as both have their own compliments and sort-like setbacks, if you will. But what about MagFed paintball??
BAIRpage has hosted several MagFed paintball events at our home paintball field Drop Zone Paintball ❤️ but BAIR isnt great at getting more than 20 out to play for MagFed events, whereas airsodt we consistantly pull atleast +50 and to no fault to DropZone, BAIR just cant build the player base for MagFed PB. Instead, to our own disbelief we brought more people from paintball (regular & MagFed alike) to ai***ft. And to add the ai***ft events at DropZone that are hosted from time-to-time are always phenomenal with large player counts.
Again, ai***ft is NOT better than paintball. But for many it is easier. And less intimidating as the diameter of your ai***ft BB to Paintball is typically 6mm to 68cal (bead compared to quarter).
MagFed is what the 'I' in BAIR stands for, "Indigo Paintball". As even though the BAIR paintball player base has shrunk considerably due to noticeable life expenses as ai***ft & real ranges have taken priority for most ;( we still have plans for paintball as several of us return from active orders come late next year.
This experience is from our own in leading a team for 14yrs, being active and participating deep in several fields, groups & events between different variants of ai***ft & paintball alike. We arent megaminds, but we do have a well diverse opinion that of we know of few could chime in in the local area. Foxhole Paintball & Ai***ft & DropZone ~ Ai***ft & Paintball in the end compliment eachother, as a coordinator-> BAIR hopes to really up-the-anty with player bases of both hobbies!
