Summer sessions are wrapping up, Competition team rehearsals are in full swing, and all your instructors are working hard on building strategy and comprehensive lesson plans that will help you achieve big goals!

Meet Miss Rachel Finogle 🧡
Teacher, school leader, dancer, dance mom... and one of the warm, familiar faces helping EMDC’s youngest dancers feel right at home.
A proud Towanda native, Rachel lives in her hometown with her husband and their three children. After nearly a decade as a first-grade teacher at J. Andrew Morrow Primary School, she recently started a new chapter as an assistant principal in the Towanda Area School District, continuing her passion for helping children learn, grow, and become more confident.
Miss Rachel has been teaching at Endless Mountains Dance Center since 2009, working with dancers of all ages: from little ones taking their first steps in Take My Hand to adults reconnecting with their love of movement. She also gets to share the studio with her daughters, Elizabeth and Amelia, making dance a meaningful family tradition.
Rachel’s own dance journey began right here at Endless Mountains. Her training includes ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, and musical theatre. She has performed at Walt Disney World, trained with leading choreographers at The Pulse dance conventions, and taken master classes at Steps on Broadway and Broadway Dance Center in New York City.
This year, dancers can find Miss Rachel teaching:

Miss Rachel brings the perfect combination of experience, patience, playfulness, and genuine care to her classes. She loves creating joyful experiences for her students while helping each dancer build confidence and discover a growing passion for dance one step at a time.
And a fun fact about Miss Rachel: the movie she could happily watch every day is Mary Poppins. It may be a jolly holiday with Mary, but we think class with Miss Rachel is pretty fantastic, too!

Think it's easy? The science, math, and artistry involved in every movement of dance comes together to dazzle and our dancers grow up learning to make it look absolutely effortless.
But there are SO many components at play that you'd never imagine! How can it take hours and hours of classes year after year to master 'spinning around'??
Easy. Because we know how to break down every little intricate part of that until it becomes muscle memory, first instinct, and the work gets put in long before those steps every come near a stage performance.
That's part of what makes the world of dance fascinating. Physics, Anatomy, Math, Strength, and Artistry- all packaged into the entertainment and love you'll find in performance.
We LOVE what we do... and we ARE a little nerdy about it 😉

Meet Miss Emily Soden 💙
Tap, jazz, hip hop and all things fun: Miss Emily brings energy, creativity, and plenty of personality into every class she teaches. She is known around EMDC as the queen of theme weeks and as a teacher who knows how to make dancers feel excited to walk into the studio.
Emily began dancing at seven years old, and competitive dance quickly became an important part of her life. She continued training and performing through high school before attending Mansfield University, where she earned a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. She later began working for Maternal and Family Health Services.
In 2007, Emily began teaching alongside Melissa at Endless Mountains Dance Center. Nearly two decades later, she continues to grow as an educator by regularly attending dance conventions, taking classes, and studying different forms of dance.

Whether she is breaking down tap rhythms, building confidence in jazz, bringing the energy to hip hop, or creating something unexpected for a theme week, Miss Emily makes class feel welcoming, upbeat, and fun.
Her schedule may be full of different styles, but the common thread is always the same: dancers are encouraged to work hard, try new things, and enjoy every part of the experience.

Seeing stories come to life as dancers go from learning how to move with the beat to truly expressing themselves and showing emotion is our jam! We love seeing their souls shine out when they get it.
Some stories really are meant to be danced. It can be so moving to see the right group, paired with the right instructor, bringing amazing tales and moments to life.
