🚨 IMPORTANT NOTICE — GAME TIME CHANGES 🚨

🥵 The forecast for this weekend’s games looks HOT!

The predicted heat index is 100°+, which means temperatures on the turf could reach approximately 104–110°.

For the safety of our players, coaches, officials, and families, we are required to follow heat-related guidelines established by the GCYFL, OHSAA, and NFHS. Depending on conditions, there is a possibility that games may need to be delayed or canceled.

⏰ In an effort to be proactive and take advantage of the cooler morning temperatures, ALL GAMES WILL START ONE HOUR EARLIER.

UPDATED GAME TIMES:
🏈 K1 — 9:00 AM
🏈 2nd Grade — 10:20 AM
🏈 3rd Grade — 11:40 AM
🏈 4th Grade — 1:00 PM
🏈 5th Grade — 2:20 PM
🏈 6th Grade — 3:40 PM

🌡️ Temperatures and field conditions will be monitored closely throughout the day. If conditions require a delay or cancellation, we will communicate that information as quickly as possible.

We truly hope we are able to play all of our games as scheduled, but the safety of our kids will always come first. Unfortunately, the weather is outside of our control, and we appreciate everyone’s patience, flexibility, and understanding.

💧 Please come prepared for the heat and make sure players begin hydrating well before game day!

Parents,

I’m sure many of you have seen the recent posts and comments involving some of our parents and Northwest on the GCYFL page. I wanted to send a quick reminder that, as members of Edgewood, we represent our organization as a whole, and it’s important that we conduct ourselves in a respectful and positive manner.

We understand that there are concerns and frustrations, and everyone is entitled to have those feelings. However, social media is not the appropriate place to address them. Unfortunately, the situation has now turned into a spectacle, with unnecessary comments being made from both sides.

Moving forward, we are asking that everyone please refrain from engaging in or continuing these discussions on social media. We also want to remind everyone of the social media policy that was signed at the beginning of the season.

Let’s remember who we are, who we represent, and most importantly, why we are here. This is about the kids. Let’s keep the focus where it belongs and continue to support them in a positive way.

They’ll be set up TODAY at practice selling ice-cold lemonade to help raise money for our boys!
