🌵 Saguaro Stories: 20th Anniversary Edition 🌵
For 20 years, Saguaro Aquatics has been helping swimmers build confidence, develop life-saving skills, and create memories that last a lifetime.
In this special Saguaro Story, our owner, Josh, reflects on the journey from Saguaro Aquatics’ beginnings to where we are today. He shares some of the milestones that have shaped our swim school, what he looks for in coaches and staff, why swimming is such an important life skill, and the impact our swimmers and families have had along the way.
Most importantly, Josh shares a heartfelt message of gratitude to every family, swimmer, coach, and staff member who has been part of the Saguaro Aquatics story over the last 20 years.

Water Safety Saturday: Open Water Safety
Open water environments like lakes, rivers, oceans, and reservoirs can present unique challenges that are different from swimming pools. Currents, changing depths, waves, and limited visibility can increase risk for swimmers of all ages.
Before entering open water:
• Always swim with a buddy
• Wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket when appropriate
• Swim in designated swimming areas
• Check weather and water conditions beforehand
• Be aware of currents, drop-offs, and underwater hazards
• Never overestimate your swimming ability
Open water is unpredictable. Be prepared, stay alert, and make safety your first priority.
