The cart for Mastering the Alarm closes Tuesday.
Here's what it actually is:
Three sessions in September — September 15, 22, 29 — plus an integration call October 8 once the work has had time to meet a real week in your life.
Virtual. Recorded. Yours to keep.
The class is built around the alarm — the nervous system response that fires before you've decided anything, runs the reaction before you've chosen it, and leaves you explaining yourself after the fact.
Not more understanding of why it happens.
The actual sequence that interrupts it.
If you've been circling this — Tuesday is the last day.
Comment ALARM or reply and I'll send you everything you need.

I spent last weekend in a room with eighty social workers.
People who have given everything to their profession. Who have waiting lists two months long. Who are stagnant in systems that were never designed for the kind of help they actually want to give.
We talked about going beyond the waitlist. About what it looks like to build a practice — and a life — that doesn't require burning through yourself to serve other people.
There were tears. There was laughter. There was a room full of helpers finally being given permission to think differently about their own sustainability.
This is the work underneath the work.
You cannot lead well from depletion. You cannot help sustainably from a system running on empty.
The alarm in your nervous system doesn't care how much you care. It responds to what you actually feed it.
Comment ALARM if September is calling to you.

A few people have asked me lately what The Circle actually is.
So let me tell you plainly.
The Circle is a monthly membership — $55 a month — built around three things:
A live group coaching call every month. Second Tuesday, 11-1 CT. This is real work — not a webinar, not a Q&A. We go somewhere together.
The Vault. A growing library of recordings, meditations, processes, and teachings from the intensives and sessions. Things you can come back to between calls.
An ongoing community. A place to keep the conversation going between sessions — with me present on Tuesday mornings and Fridays.
It exists because transformation doesn't happen in a weekend. The work gives you the break in the pattern. The Circle is where you build the new one.
$55 a month. Cancel anytime. No minimum commitment.
If you've been doing this work — or you've been curious about it — this is the most accessible door in.

Something that keeps coming up in conversations this week at the conference.
The most devoted helpers are often the ones most depleted.
Not because they don't care about themselves. Because they were trained — explicitly and implicitly — that caring for themselves is somehow in tension with caring for others.
It isn't.
The alarm in your nervous system doesn't care how noble your profession is. Chronic depletion looks the same in a social worker as it does in a CEO.
The work of learning to regulate, to reset, to anchor within — that's not self-indulgence. It's what makes sustainable service possible.
That's what we're talking about in September.
Comment ALARM and I'll send you the details.

The reset isn't optional. It's the infrastructure.
We talk a lot about giving, serving, showing up for everyone else.
We don't talk nearly enough about what makes that sustainable.
Rest. Real laughter. People who know you all the way through. Time where nothing is required of you.
This isn't self-indulgence.
This is how you stay in the work long-term without burning through yourself to do it.
Save this one. You might need the reminder.
🤍 And when you're ready to do the internal work that makes the reset actually land — start with a Boost Session. Link in bio.

This week I'm presenting at the RPS Social Work Conference in Gulfport.
The topic: what happens when we go Beyond the Waitlist.
Our field talks a lot about service and giving. We don't talk nearly enough about sustainability, prosperity, or what it costs us when we treat burnout as an occupational hazard rather than a systems failure.
I left clinical practice in 2021 because I knew there was a different way to work — one that didn't require burning through yourself to help other people.
I'm going to spend two days talking about what that looks like.
More on that soon.

Three sessions. Two hours each. Then a fourth call four weeks later, once the work has met a real Tuesday.
Mastering the Alarm. September 15, 22, 29 — plus integration on October 8. All virtual, all recorded, all yours to keep.
This is the only time this particular class is being taught.

Away this weekend. No phone, four women, a cabin in the woods.
I do this every year, and every year I'm reminded that the noise isn't the problem.
The problem is never having enough quiet to notice what's underneath it.
Most of what runs us is running in the background. You can't hear background noise while you're standing in traffic.

Back Monday.
