We were surprised with this nice male coyote in the trap this morning.

It was a great day to get out for one last run for the 2026 season. We had a 9.5 hour old track and the dogs had the bear on his feet in no time. Lots of walking, baying, and making music! We’re already looking forward to next season!

The 3 leopards Sampson, Trapper and Mia made it look easy this morning. Just shy of a 6 hour old track and the 3 of them had it jumped and treed in 30 minutes. Congratulations Brad on your first Maine Bear!

Today's bear started with a 12 hour old track and took us 1.65 miles up the mountain to a den. RJ and his crew made hiking that mountain look easy. Congratulations RJ, its a pleasure to hunt with you guys and thank you again Kris Gould & Woody's Guide Service for trusting us with your clients.

Another great morning in the bear woods filled with lots of laughs and memories. Chase made a great shot and punched his first bear tag. Congratulations Chase! Thank you Kris Gould and Woody's Guide Service for all the help and continued business!

What a way to end the week. We started with a 6 hour old track and windy conditions, but after 12.6 miles the dogs had this bear treed high. We made the 850 yard hike in and little miss Kaya made a great shot to bring her one step closer to her grand slam. Congratulations Kaya on your first bear AND first big game animal.

If you know us here at Due North you know we eat, sleep and breath bear season ~ and our kids have been grinding thru the years with us. This year we decided to get them in the trap woods and test their patience. Well the patience and sweet scents definitely paid off this morning for Ace! He got to run hounds with our client Kelby and then go harvest his first bear. Congratulations Ace we are very proud of the hard work you put in and excellent shot!
