🇺🇸 September 11, 2001 — We Remember. 🇺🇸

25 years later, we continue to remember the lives forever changed on September 11, 2001.

On that morning, our nation was attacked when terrorists hijacked four airplanes. Two planes struck the World Trade Center in New York City, another struck the Pentagon, and United Airlines Flight 93 crashed in Pennsylvania after passengers and crew fought back. Nearly 3,000 innocent people lost their lives, including first responders who ran toward danger to help others.

Last night, I watched the drone monument in remembrance of September 11. Seeing the story of that day honored through the lights in the sky was a beautiful reminder that although the years pass, we must never forget the lives, families, heroes, and sacrifices connected to that day.

This morning, my family raised our American flag high on the crane in remembrance of every life lost and every hero who answered the call.

The flag flying above us represents so much more than a piece of fabric. It represents freedom, sacrifice, courage, and the people who have given so much to protect our country and the freedoms we are blessed to have today.

Today, we remember.
We honor.
And we will never forget. 🇺🇸

There’s just something special about winning a buckle!

For our Cherry County Rodeo Royalty, these buckles aren’t simply something they win on pageant day. They’re worn to rodeos, parades, appearances, and events throughout their year, becoming part of the memories they make while representing our program.

This year, we are so thankful for the businesses who stepped up to sponsor these buckles for our royalty:

Calie’s Queen Buckle • Speedee Mart
Breeya’s Princess Buckle • Schumacher Veterinary Clinic
Tenley’s Sweetheart Buckle • Scotty’s Ranchland Foods

When a local business sponsors something like a buckle, they’re doing more than purchasing an award. They’re investing in these young women, in our program, and in keeping rodeo and western traditions strong for the next generation.

We simply couldn’t give our girls the experience we do without people and businesses willing to come alongside us.

Thank you, Speedee Mart, Schumacher Veterinary Clinic, and Scotty’s Ranchland Foods, for believing in Cherry County Rodeo Royalty and helping us give our girls something they’ll be proud to wear all year long. ❤️

Contact us so you too can be a part of Cherry County Rodeo Royalty.

We are so thankful to have Sandhills Sorrel as one of our premium sponsors! ❤️

Their support of Cherry County Rodeo Royalty goes far beyond financial sponsorship. They continually come alongside our program with their time, talents, and support, truly being boots on the ground when we need them.

Sponsors like Sandhills Sorrel LLC don’t just help make our program possible, they become a part of it. We are incredibly grateful to have them in our corner!

Back in July, we had the honor of sponsoring some of our favorite rodeo royalty — Cherry County Rodeo Royalty ! 👑🤠

You can find these gals representing the western way of life at rodeos all across Nebraska, and we were so dang excited to be a small part of their year!

Working with Brittany was an absolute blast as we dreamed up unique category prizes and some seriously fun bags for the winning royalty. We LOVE getting the chance to create pieces that are a little different, a little western, and made specifically for your event. ✨

Have an upcoming rodeo, queen contest, jackpot, banquet, fundraiser, or event that needs some dang cool prizes?! LET US HELP! 🙌

We have sooo many ideas just waiting for an excuse to come to life — custom, branded, personalized, and anything but boring. 😉🔥

Shoot us a message and let’s make your next awards table one everyone talks about!

Happy Labor Day from Cherry County Rodeo Royalty!

We all know Labor Day as the unofficial end of summer, but do you know why we celebrate it?

Labor Day began during the late 1800s, at a time when many Americans worked long hours, seven days a week, often in difficult and unsafe conditions. The growing labor movement pushed for better treatment of American workers, and in 1894, Labor Day officially became a federal holiday honoring the contributions workers have made to the strength and prosperity of our country.

More than 130 years later, it is still a day worth remembering.

Here in Cherry County and across rural America, we see the value of hard work every day. We see it in ranchers checking cattle before sunrise, farmers putting in long days, linemen working through storms, teachers preparing classrooms, nurses caring for their communities, small business owners keeping their doors open, truck drivers keeping America moving, and countless others whose work often happens quietly behind the scenes.

Our country was built, and continues to be sustained, by people willing to work.

So today, while we enjoy the long weekend, we also celebrate the hands, hearts, and hard work behind the communities we call home!

SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT: OUR CROWN SPONSORS!

There’s something pretty special about the moment a rodeo queen has that crown placed on her hat. It represents the beginning of a year filled with rodeos, miles on the road, new friendships, and the opportunity to represent Cherry County wherever she goes!

We are so thankful for the incredible businesses who made those crowns possible for our 2026 Cherry County Rodeo Royalty!

Queen Crown Sponsor: Snowy Peak Community Services
Princess Crown Sponsor: Young's Western Wearhouse
Sweetheart Crown Sponsor: Cody Livestock Supply

Because of generous sponsors like these, Calie, Breeya, and Tenley have beautiful crowns to wear as they represent the Cherry County Rodeo throughout their year.

Thank you, Snowy Peak, Young’s Western Wear, and Cody Livestock Supply, for investing in our royalty program and helping make these opportunities possible for our young women! ❤️

We are incredibly grateful to have businesses who believe in Cherry County Rodeo Royalty and the next generation of rodeo!

Hi everyone! Since it’s Rodeo Week, I thought it would be the perfect time to officially introduce myself!

I’m Calie Troyer, the 2026 Cherry County Rodeo Queen, and I proudly call Hershey, Nebraska, home.

I’m currently a nursing student at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where I’m grateful to maintain a 4.0 GPA while pursuing my nursing degree.

I am also a self-published children’s book author. My book, Chase the Dream, ’Til You Can’t, was inspired by my Grandma Karen and the impact she had on my life. Through her memory, I hope the book encourages young people to chase their dreams, make the most of every opportunity, and remember that tomorrow is never guaranteed.

Throughout my year as queen, I hope to lead with kindness, integrity, and a heart for serving others. I’m so excited for everything this year has in store and, most importantly, for the opportunity to represent the largest county in Nebraska!

I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported me and believed in my dreams along the way.

I can’t wait to see you all at the Cherry County Rodeo! Happy Rodeo Week!
