The Factor Bikes Elara: 2 ways

Steve Barnhill built his Elara for a single purpose - go fast no matter what the terrain. Steve wanted his Elara to fly over gravel, but also be more than capable on big training days and fast road rides alike.

“I know I’m asking a lot of the Elara.. and I’ve always been a big hater of making your gravel bike also your road bike, but with the Elara I had a sneaking suspicion that I could get it set up to be just as capable on the road as it is on gravel. I held my breath the first time getting it out on the road hoping I hadn’t made a huge mistake, but almost immediately I exhaled and had a huge smile on my face. It delivered and then some.”

Fun fact: Steve and Pete actually have quite a long history on the dirt. Before he was Thor on the crit circuit, Pete raced mountain bikes for the UNR cycling team and Steve was working for Fox Factory before him and Pete cooked up Free Lap. We’re excited to bring it full circle with a brand that we’ve been fans of for quite a while.
