Who doesn’t like giant 8 points? What a great buck!!
Pat started as a client and evolved into a guide for us.
He’s out the time in that’s for sure. He’s had it all happen, shoulder hits, clean misses and of course Sassafras tree hits!!( Pat missed Goosebumps)
Pat and I went to this farm to get some camera battery changed and do some stand moving….. we jumped this buck with the side by side midday on an alfalfa field edge….. we knew today was the day. Machine bump is similar to typical farm work. Knowing the buck will return to work his scrapes, Pat made a great shot and the deer is recovered!! 149 1/8 inches.
Congrats Pat Leary!! 8 point of a lifetime!!

Opening week at OSO was a GREAT one!

Now it’s time to switch gears and prepare for the PRE-RUT & RUT — and this is where we do things a little different.

We don’t believe in keeping our farms packed with hunters from opening day straight through the season. We give our farms time to rest.

That means when our pre-rut and rut clients arrive, they’re stepping onto fresh, rested, unpressured ground when it matters most.

That’s the OSO difference. We hunt smart, manage pressure, and save our best opportunities for the best time of year.

Pre-rut is coming. The big boys are about to make mistakes. Let’s get after it.

Jeff Charland dropped the hammer on a big ole bully buck we called “perfect 8”. These guys can shoot, having a total of 80 yards of tracking between all 3 trophies…… made it real easy for us that’s for sure!!
This buck been bumping other bucks around, trying to push em off our ground!!! Not anymore Perfect8, not anymore!
These guys left this morning and I expect will get an awful lot of honks on the road from other hunters with out so much luck!

Great work boys, and good shooting. See ya next year gentlemen!!
