ATHLETICS HEAD TO RHODE ISLAND! This weekend we travel north to play in the Rocky Point Historic Base Ball Festival! Hosted by the always convivial Providence Grays Providence Grays Historic BBC it’s two days of base ball, fresh air, and good times on the Narragansett Bay! We’ve got four matches slated for the weekend - - Saturday versus the New York Mutuals and Providence Grays; Sunday, a rematch against Providence and a finale versus the Brooklyn Atlantics Brooklyn Atlantics. A plethora of other clubs will be there too, such as the Westfield Wheelmen, the Lisbon Tunnelmen, and the Saugerties BBC Brickmakers Base Ball Club of Saugerties. Pack your bags, head to Lil’ Rhody, and make a weekend out of it!

At 10am at the African American Museum African American Museum In PHL in Philadelphia, our own Team Captain & Quartermaster, Pierre LaRocco Pierre LaRocco,will be presenting on the history of the Philadelphia Pythian Black Base Ball Club. A FREE event as part of the museum’s Baseball Day- don’t miss it!

Afterwards, head on over to Red Bank Battlefield Park in National Park, NJ Red Bank Battlefield Park for a fantastic matchup! Sunshine, camaraderie, and good hitting made for a GREAT Saturday ball game.
