This past weekend, our Pre-professional Ballet Track students showcased the tremendous growth they have achieved this year in technique, artistry, confidence, and their love of ballet during our Ballet Observation Classes.

Thank you to all of our Ballet faculty for guiding our students and nurturing their love of dance throughout the year!

We are excited to watch them shine on stage this weekend at our Annual Conservatory Concert!

The ballet portion of the Concert will feature pas de deux, classical variations, and a variety of classical, character, and contemporary dances—a beautiful journey through the world of dance celebrating the hard work and achievements of our students.

Students train in a residency-style contemporary intensive with Desmond Richardson, Co-Founder of Complexions Contemporary Ballet, and Grace Buckley, NYCDA & Steps On Broadway Faculty. The program emphasizes contemporary technique, creative development, versatility, and performance quality, with opportunities to learn and rehearse professional repertoire.

We're proud to announce that Nasrullah Abdur-Rahman will be performing as a guest artist in the Conservatory Annual Concert!

began his ballet training in Harlem before continuing his studies at the age of 15 at Kirov Academy of Ballet. He later graduated from Boston Ballet School and began his professional career with Birmingham Royal Ballet. He is currently a member of Cincinnati Ballet.

In addition to his professional achievements, he has earned recognition through competitions including Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), and was selected to participate in the USA International Ballet Competition 2023.

We're proud to announce that Vladimir Tapkharov will be performing as a guest artist in the Conservatory Annual Concert!

Vladimir Tapkharov is in his third season with The Washington Ballet. Originally from Irkutsk, Russia, he received his training at the Buryat Republican Choreographic School and graduated from the East Siberian State Institute of Culture in 2012.
As a professional artist, he performed with the Russian Ballet (2014–2021), Imperial Russian Ballet (2016–2020), and the Musical Theater of the Republic of Karelia (2019–2021). Throughout his career, he has performed numerous roles with the Buryat State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, Russian National Ballet, Imperial Russian Ballet, and the Musical Theater of the Republic of Karelia. He has also participated in prestigious competitions, including the Perm International Ballet Competition "Arabesque" named after Ekaterina Maximova and the All-Russian Competition for Ballet and Choreography Artists.
