Outlaw Recap for the Dutch Hoag Memorial:
The crew decided to skip the Friday night dashes to keep the car 100 percent for the Main day of racing !
Saturday : Came to the track with the same notebook as the race before and we were ready to do battle !
We drew 8 for the heat which put us on the front row of heat number 1. CJ went out there and won the heat to make the redraw. CJ pulled number 5 for the starting spot in the 50 lap main event. Start of the race CJ drove smart and took his time to get into second clean and battle for the lead, after a restart on lap 18 CJ drove to the lead and never looked back the car was absolutely flawless between the engine,gear and setup! He went on to lead the remaining 32 laps and become a 2 time winner of this particular event which happens to be one of the biggest of the year for the Street Stock Class ! We cleared post race tech after pulling the intake manifold and having the heads intake and lifters checked . My Dad always loved this race and we are glad we delivered it in his memory !
