It is with heavy hearts that we remember Julie Oliver, who was an integral part of Da Vinci Equestrian, Central Coast Show Series, and the greater equestrian community. Most importantly, Julie was Sarina’s mom, and her loss is deeply personal to so many of us.
Julie was so much more than a name behind an organization. She was part of the network of people who make programs like ours possible, helping build and support a community where horses, riders, families, and local organizations can come together. Her connection to our program and the equestrian community was meaningful, and the impact she made reached far beyond any one role or organization.
As CFO of both C&N Tractors and the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds, Julie dedicated herself to the organizations that help make our community thrive. She served on numerous boards over the years and encouraged her team to get involved, too. Through her leadership and commitment to service, she helped foster a culture of giving back, supporting countless events and organizations throughout the tri-county area.
People like Julie are the backbone of a community. They give their time, share their talents, and help create opportunities for others. So much of what makes our community special depends on people willing to step up and contribute, and Julie was one of those people.
For us, this loss is not just the loss of a respected businesswoman and community leader. It is the loss of someone we knew through Sarina, someone whose life was woven into the fabric of our community and whose absence will be felt in so many ways. Julie was family. Our hearts are especially with Sarina and her family as they navigate this unimaginable loss.
Julie’s impact will continue to be felt through the people she supported, the organizations she helped strengthen, and the community she gave so much of herself to. We are grateful to have been part of her world, and we will remember her with deep appreciation and love.
Julie will be profoundly missed. 🤍
