WOW Taekwondo As students advance in rank form white to black belt they will gain the knowledge, confidence and a positive experience that will last a lifetime.

WOW Taekwondo offers students the best in personal, physical and mental development through martial arts, including a robust after school program and special events. WOW Taekwondo provides a place where one can learn the art of Taekwondo and enjoy the experience while making the commitment to learn and improve one's self-esteem, concentration, discipline and self-control. The core tenets will provide a foundation for students to pursue excellence in any life endeavor that they choose. WOW Taekwondo reinforces the importance of family whether in active participation or support of the student. Master Jonathan Fleming has studied martial arts for over 17 years and has been teaching for over 12 years. He has achieved Black Belts in Karate and Taekwondo and ascended to the 4th Degree (Master) level in Taekwondo in 2006. Master Fleming has competed in many high level events including the 2001 National WTF Championships, the Junior Olympics in 2003 and the World Championships in ITF. In addition to his exceptional athletic ability and personal achievement in martial arts, Master Fleming is best known in the Charlotte area for his unique ability to connect with children and adult students. He blends encouragement with high standards and humor to keep students interested and longing to return to train. These are the primary reasons why Master Fleming will always have a strong following of students.

“Being here is not about the black belt – it is about the journey (for each individual). That is the joy of teaching,” affirms Master Jonathan Fleming (when a parent becomes discouraged about his/her child’s progression to black belt). In addition to his numerous achievements in martial arts, Master Fleming is a certified personal trainer and has studied Business and Child Development at UNCC.
