Had a great time at this weekend's DEKA at iCore Fitness! Training for competition is great for real life as well. The farmers carry develops core strength, grip strength,and posture. Also a great move for hauling groceries.

Fitness isn't about how your abs look or how big your biceps are. It's about how well and comfortably you can go through life. Playing with your kids, lifting heavy bags of groceries, being flexible enough to pick something off the floor without your back hurting.

Last weekend's Spartan Stadium was a success!

Third place overall.

As a baseball fan, running around Citizens Bank Park was a treat!

Avoid lower back strain by employing hex bar squats. They are a great alternative to barbell back squats, because they keep the load at your sides. They also really challenge your grip strength.

Burpee broad jumps are so explosive, and at this point in a DEKA, you're so fatigued that the move is very challenging. But hey, the finish line is right next to you!

We use a variety of weights in our studio. Free weights, kettlebells, balls, bands, bars. They each have their place.

Medicine balls are great for explosive power and plyometrics, rotational strength.

It's fun to mix it up! Gladiator Fitness creates well rounded programs to hit the muscles in different ways. Try something new with us!
