Back from Baja SAE Rochester with a result we're proud of: 5th overall and first ever 1st 🥇 in design.
Only a few points separated the amazing top teams and was fun to battle it out. After an early failure in endurance, we climbed back from 58th to 6th 🤯 Many new firsts from the team as well including second place finishes in both cost and the business event, solidifying a first overall static score!
Purdue Mechanical Engineering I think we are going to need a new trophy case! See all the teams in Ohio, one more event with this amazing car and team ❤️

It is with a heavy heart that we can finally say we have achieved our ultimate goal, 1st Overall at Baja SAE Oregon. A testament to the beast of a car we have built, but also to our amazing members who trade Baja for sleep. Supported by the years of continuous improvement from our alumni, to the support from our oldest to newest sponsors; Thank you
Placing 1st in endurance is also a massive team milestone, we came out a couple times for minor repairs but decisive teamwork got us back out fast. Hoping to keep the train 🚂 moving at Rochester in June.

Purdue Day of Giving is less than a week away!
Purdue Baja Racing will be competing at 3 competitions this season, and with Purdue Day of Giving right around the corner on Wednesday, April 29th, this is the best way to support the teams’ efforts to keep building competitive race cars!
The best time donate is 7-8 EDT, which is the bonus round for the highest # of donations. Splitting up the donations into $10 submissions will greatly help!
Donate on dayofgiving.purdue.edu, to donate, type in West Lafayette Student Organizations in the “choose a unit” drop down and Purdue Baja Racing in the “chose a fund” drop down. Use the “+Add another unit” feature to contribute multiple donations.
