Putting your head down and working hard in the gym for a few hours a week isn't enough to reach maximal potential.

Sure working hard is important, and nobody will be successful without it.

But without a mindful approach to reaching specific outcomes in training progress will eventually slow down or halt.

It's the role of a coach to create a clear understanding of how specific exercises and phases of training will impact technique, strength, and long term development.

This will allow athletes to really understand what improvements need to be made and how training is set up to accomplish this.

It's the role of the athlete to apply this understanding in to their daily training.
