We tried to hear our haters, but it’s hard to listen when you’re so busy laughing, high‑fiving, and doing cool stuff with your people.
We’ll calm down when the fun does!

Disability Pride Month may have come to a close, but the work of building more inclusive communities continues every single day.
Over the past month, we've celebrated disability identity, explored the history of the Disability Rights Movement, and talked about the importance of advocacy and education.
Now we invite you to take the next step: Activate.
Maybe you're ready to start volunteering for the non-profit you drive by every day.
Maybe you've been meaning to check out the next Parks + Rec meeting.
Maybe you feel more confident to start a conversation around universal design.
Maybe you just feel a little more proud, sit a little more tall, speak a little more loudly when advocating for yourself.
Meaningful change doesn't happen all at once. It starts with one person, and then two - and someday, ten thousand voices raised as one.
A few small actions, repeated by many people, creates lasting change.
💚
A challenge for you! Pick one action you're going to take to support inclusion and accessibility in your community before next July, and drop your ideas in the comments below!
Let's inspire one another.

Disability Pride Month is more than a celebration - it's a reminder of the people, movements, and ideas that built a more accessible future.
Many of the rights and inclusive spaces we enjoy today exist because people challenged barriers, organized their communities, and insisted that everyone deserve the chance to participate fully.
At Adaptive Adventures, we carry that legacy into the outdoors. We bring free adaptive sports and recreation to underserved communities so participants can rebuild confidence, restore independence, and find belonging in nature.
This month we’ve explored ways to celebrate and advocate for Disability Pride Now we’re focusing on learning: spotlighting the people, places, and innovations that redefined accessibility and normalizing adaptation.
Learning starts with curiosity, and there's no better lesson then from the heroes who started the movement back then - and from the leaders continuing their momentum today.
Drop your favorite fun fact about Disability history in the comments so we can all keep learning!
Stay curious, friends - and happy Disability Pride Month.

"Take a look around you. Who is missing from this picture?
At Adaptive Adventures, we believe everyone should have the chance to experience freedom, confidence, and joy outdoors - regardless of ability, location, equipment needs, or income.
This Month, we're sharing ways to Celebrate, Advocate, Educate, and Activate for the global disability community.
Advocacy is simply noticing a barrier and removing it - or calling attention to the barrier for the people who can. 💚
Swipe to explore everyday ways you can help make trails, parks, and programs more welcoming for all. Everyone plays a role in advocacy and outdoor access, and we want to help you find where to start!
What is one detail that makes an outdoor space feel truly accessible to you?
Each year, we're deeply honored and proud to support LIM359 at their annual Summer Camp, designed for kids with limb differences and their siblings. 🦾
In providing adaptive cycling and rock climbing, future youth athletes can experience an introduction to inclusive outdoor recreation with a wide range of accommodations - everyone, regardless of ability, can experience the joys of play and exercise.
This incredible camp is entirely sustained by the efforts of a small team of volunteers, determined to make our world more accessible, more inclusive, and more fun. 🌎
For one week, these kids can ride, climb, and adventure alongside their siblings and friends - with no question of if they can, only if they want to.
And as you can see - these kids love to! 😍
Adventure restores confidence, builds connection, and creates belonging — and it depends on the places we protect. We’re proud to join the Do Colorado Right Coalition to help keep Colorado’s trails, waterways, campsites, and public lands welcoming and accessible for everyone — including people with physical disabilities and their families.
This month’s theme: Leave It Better Than You Find It!
Whether you’re rolling with us on an adaptive cycling ride, paddling with friends, or trying adaptive climbing for the first time, small actions keep the outdoors open and inclusive!
• Pack out what you pack in
• Leave flowers, rocks, and artifacts where you find them
• Respect wildlife and their habitats
• Clean boots, bikes, boards, and boats between adventures
• Take photos and memories home instead of natural treasures
Protecting these places helps restore mobility, rebuild confidence, and expand access to adventure for whole communities.
