🚗❤️ CALLING ALL MECHANICS! WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We have a momma at Ember Rising who could really use a helping hand!

She is 27 weeks pregnant, a single mom raising three children, and doing her best to keep moving forward.

But right now, her vehicle keeps overheating, and we need someone who knows their way around an engine to help us figure out what’s going on!

❤️ We are looking for a mechanic who would be willing to donate their time and expertise to diagnose the problem and, hopefully, help us get her safely back on the road.

Reliable transportation isn’t a luxury for this momma. It’s how she gets her children where they need to go, makes it to appointments, and takes care of her family.

At Ember Rising, we believe choosing life means showing up for moms when life gets hard. And sometimes, showing up looks like getting your hands a little greasy! 🔧

7:30 PM… LAST DROP-OFF OF THE DAY! ❤️🔥

My heart is full, my body is tired, and I am reminded once again why we do what we do at Ember Rising!

Today, we walked alongside two different moms, two different families, facing two very different situations. But they both came to us for the same reason…

They believed abortion was their only option.

And today, we got to remind them that they are not alone. That there are people willing to show up, walk beside them, and help carry the burdens that feel impossible to carry alone.

❤️ One family will sleep in their new home tonight with actual beds, pillows, blankets, and a warm meal provided by our amazing St. Thomas Knights of Columbus!

❤️ Another mom and her son received a meal as they walk through the heartbreaking reality of grieving something they know is coming… they just don’t know when. Sometimes there are no words. Sometimes all you can do is show up with a meal, a hug, and the reminder that they don’t have to walk this road alone.

And then there’s BILL! 😂❤️

We drove to Colwich to pick up a bed frame, loaded up the vehicle, unloaded it, and assembled toddler beds. And when I say we assembled them, I really mean BILL assembled them! 🤣 I was there for moral support and supervision!

Nineteen years of marriage, and this man continues to show up alongside me in this ministry. This ministry brings the best out of us and sometimes when building beds the worst. He may not always get the spotlight, he doesn’t always say yes, but let me tell you, he is just as much a part of Ember Rising as I am!

THIS is what being pro-life looks like beyond the conversation.

It’s beds. It’s pillows. It’s groceries. It’s meals. It’s showing up when life gets messy, heartbreaking, and inconvenient.

It’s not just saying, “Choose life.”

It’s saying, “You don’t have to figure out how to do life alone.”

To our Knights of Columbus, our donors, our volunteers, and every person who helps us answer the call… THANK YOU!

You may never fully understand the difference you are making in these families’ lives.

And as for Bill and me? We’re heading home tired, grateful, and probably ready to sit down for a while! 😂

She and her coach have found her a safe place to live with her 3 kids and one on the way. Now we have to help as a community to get her the essentials to start living.

She’s 21 weeks pregnant, has 3 kids, and is sleeping on a queen-size air mattress. I don't know how she is doing it!

This client is doing her work and doesn't have a chance to get child support because the father is on disability, and she makes too much at her job. If you have anything in your home that you don't use that is on this wish list, let me know. We are moving her into her new smaller apartment on Thursday!
