"No wind, no waves, and visibility forever" - Jacques Cousteau after diving a Florida Spring. Water temperatures are a constant 72° F year-round.

Come to Blue Grotto and you will experience first hand what Jacques Cousteau himself discovered about diving the Florida Springs. Blue Grotto in Williston is home to the largest accessible underwater cavern in north-central Florida. Sport divers can reach depths of 60 feet while still keeping the entrance clearly in sight. It's one of just four sites in the region where you only need an Open Water

WHY BE COLD?

■ Don’t assume that, just because we are in Florida, the water is warm.

■ While 72° F may be room temperature in air, in water it saps heat from your body faster than 40° F air would.

■ Most divers find they need at least a full-length, 5 mm wetsuit to be comfortable.

Why invest the time, money and effort to dive the springs only to be cold and miserable? Remember that if you don’t already own a suitable wetsuit, you can always rent one from us.

NO GEAR? NO PROBLEM.

Traveling light? Forgot something at home? We’ve got you covered.

■ Our full-service rental department has everything you need — including regulators, BCs, wetsuits, dive lights and computers.

■ Planning to dive nearby Devil's Den after you dive Blue Grotto? Use the same rental gear at both locations and avoid paying for equipment rental twice.

Simple. Convenient. Ready when you are.

LETTING OCTOPUSSES AND CONSOLES…
…dangle freely leads to equipment and environmental damage. Don’t let it happen.

Don’t let them dangle Dangling octopuses and consoles can cause at least four problems. Here is what they are and how to fix them.

REBREATHER CENTRAL

■ It’s hard to say for certain — but it wouldn’t surprise us if more rebreather instructors bring their students to Blue Grotto than anywhere else in the world.

■ On most weekdays, you’ll actually see more rebreather divers in the water than those on open circuit.

■ Why? Conditions here just work — clear water, easy access, and an environment that lets students focus on what matters.

■ If you’re ready to get started, organizations like TDI and IANTD can connect you with an instructor teaching the unit that interests you most.

IT IS AMONG THE MOST FREQUENT…
…questions divers ask. The short ansser is “rain” — but there is more to is than that.
