As the Summer Days become shorter and Fall fast approaches we at MVA have been preparing for the upcoming 2022-2023 Upland Bird Season. The fields are in great shape and we looking forward to an exciting and safe season.

Upcoming Activities at MVA include the following:

* 1st day of Dog Training: 1 August 2022 (New Pups and Seasoned Hunters are welcomed).

* 1st day of Upland Bird Hunting is 3 September 2022.

* Projected Youth Hunt is Saturday, 8 October 2022 (Additional information to be provided).

Well folks, that's a wrap!

MVA held its last hunt of the season this past Monday, March 28, 2022.

We would like to extend a special thanks to all of our guest and support staff who enabled us to have a safe and successful season.

Some key notes for the upcoming 2022-2023 Season:

* First day of dog training - 1 August 2022
* First day of Upland Bird Hunting - 4 September 2022

MVA would like to thank Duane and DJ for hunting with us this morning. Snowy and brutal windy days seem to be the theme this year. Great shooting guys it was a pleasure hosting your hunt! Kick 'em Up, Knock 'em Down!

MVA would like to thank Bill, Evan and Dylan for spending their afternoon with us this past Friday. There were some good dog work, fast flying Chukars, Good Shooting and a great day afield! Kick 'em up, Knock 'em down!

🗣Bird dog appreciation post! Jeff Lee’s GSP, Jade, and English Setter, Penny Lane. Jade was a big part of MVA’s early days, guiding many a hunter to a successful day in the field. Today, Penny and Jeff can be found any given Saturday kickin’ ‘em up and knockin’ ‘em down here at Mountain View!

MVA had the privilege of hosting first time hunter Kim Shima and her husband Andy. What a great hunt - Kim with her first bird and first rooster! Kim and Andy were guided by Jeff and Penny. Kick 'em up, Knock 'em down!

Someone said it was chilly today, but Rick, Chris, Matt, Will, and Dominic (first pheasant hunt today) didn’t seem to notice! It was a great day kickin’ em up and knockin’ down at MVA!!

Today Buck got to hunt with some old and young buddies. MVA would like to thank Jim, Holly, John and Jeff for sharing their morning with us. At 12 years young Buck is semi-retired and hunting on a limited basis. You still got it Buck! Kick 'em up, Knock 'em down!
