The Good...the Bad... the Good
Chris Jeffers walked into our shop at few years ago and was looking for a road bike to take his cycling to the next level. We had a used bike that fit his needs and he jumped into our group rides. In 2024 he purchased a New Giant Defy Advanced. Giant Bicycles offers a 2 year "No questions, Composite Confidence".

On May 26 of this year, Chris met a deer on a 30 mph descent that sent the deer off with a broken leg and Chris landed in the hospital with broken ribs, collapsed lung, shoulder and ankle injuries and a lot of road rash. His Giro helmet saved his head from a serious head injury.

What about the bike you ask?.. totalled. The fork snapped at head tube. Giant Bicycles honored their "Composite Confidence" warranty and we had a new frame/fork shipped no charge! Club members from Orrville and Wooster contributed to keep the cost of replacing the bike to a minimal. We took the opportunity to upgrade Chris' new bike to carbon wheels, handle bars and few other upgrades.

On July 21, 8 weeks to date after his deer encounter, Chris conquered some very serious injuries, threw his leg over his new bike and rolled out with the group.

How bout a celebration with some venison burgers on the grill.

Scott just built what he calls "The Pinnacle" of bikes, a Custom Moots RSL with SRAM Red XPLR. Moots 45th Anniversary hand-built titanium frame with no detail overlooked including an anodized signature of the Moots Representative on the seat tube. John is a long time customer and gave Scott the challenge of building the ultimate bike to enhance his riding experience. I think we nailed it. Pics don't do the bike justice and you need to throw your leg over a titanium Moots to get the full experience.
