A group chat has been created and info sent out about the carpool for the Malvern practices. Several are planning on driving out on their own but if you were planning on getting a ride and haven’t received a message please let me know asap so I can add you to the list. Parents will be able to sit in on practices and get a feel for the program, kids, and coaches as well. Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

If you are planning on going to Malvern for practice on Monday please send me a private message. I will start a group chat so we can communicate about details. We have 2 car loads going now and I want to make sure we have enough room for everyone and add more vehicles if needed. Practice is from 6-8pm. Text me at 717-778-7310

Mayfield Mat Academy will begin with this schedule starting 8/4 at East York BJJ ! We want to thank them for reaching out to offer space for wrestlers to continue to train with Coach Mayfield.

We will continue to add training opportunities as time/space allows. Reminder that Coach Mayfield will be up at Malvern Wrestling Club on Monday nights if you’d like to carpool for an additional night of training.

Once again, thank you for the love and support and we can’t wait to be back on the mat with you next week!

We’re excited to share that the new Mayfield Mat Academy schedule will be posted tomorrow! As we continue settling into this new chapter, we’ll keep adding practices whenever our personal schedules and new facility allow.

In addition to practices here in York, Coach Mayfield will be traveling to Malvern Wrestling Club on Monday nights. Any wrestlers interested in making the trip are welcome to carpool and take advantage of the opportunity to train alongside some absolute hammers and high level coaches.

This journey has brought us back to what inspired Mayfield Mat Academy from the very beginning which was to provide affordable, high-level wrestling in our area. To live life along side our wrestlers and families. To grow both on the mat and in life and to be a light in this community that we love and that has given us so much. That’s always been our mission, and we’re excited to get back to our roots.

To everyone who has supported us, encouraged us, prayed for us, and stood beside us through the ups and downs, thank you. To everyone who has reached out offering space, resources and ultimately a place to run practices even with their busy schedule - thank you. Your love and support have meant more than we can put into words.

This next chapter is ours to write.

Effective yesterday, Coach Mayfield will no longer be at Steller Trained York. While this is due to not aligning on the business and vision of the club, it was unexpected and not something we were prepared for. Like many of you, we are processing what this means and working through the many decisions that need to be made over the coming days and weeks.

As always, we appreciate all of the love and support you have shown our family for almost a decade. We hope you have felt the same love and support from us. 💛
