What a fantastic weekend we had hosting Professor Jay Zeballos at Transform Jiu Jitsu and Black Flag BJJ. Many of techniques and concepts were exchanged. However, the friendships and camaraderie that developed between everyone was even greater!

Congratulations to everyone promoted this weekend. Transform Jiu Jitsu gained 2 new black belts. Professor Mike Brenton and Professor Ruben Cruz have trained diligently for the last 13+ years and has reached the accomplishment of black belt. Now the journey really begins!

We also gained a new brown belt, a handful of purple belts and one new blue belt! Again congratulations on your achievements!

Had a special guest come train with us recently! Yukon Mayor Brian Pillmore answered a challenge I gave him several months back! In conversation, Mayor Pillmore told me he had wrestled back in his Jr. High days. I then challenged him to get back on the mats and give jiu jitsu a try!

Through his busy schedule, he was able to make time to accept the challenge and he did not disappoint. It was like riding a bike again, and he displayed the grappling he had back in his day! Very good balance and was hard to sweep!

Thank you Mayor Pillmore for coming out and showing the fight is still inside, and can always come out! KEEP TRAINING LFG!!

What an amazing weekend for Transform Jiu Jitsu at AGF! Our athletes showed their hard work and preparation in this tournament. Everyone competed to the best of their abilities and learned a lot about their own game. Congratulations to all of them for deciding to step out of their comfort zone and taking on this challenge!
