It’s a special thing when you get the opportunity to share the mats with someone you’ve spent over a decade studying, learning from, and admiring. In martial arts, there are people who influence your journey long before you ever get the chance to meet them, and being able to finally train together is something you don’t take for granted. 🥋

It was an honor to learn from Bruno in person and have the opportunity to share a little Judo with his students. One of the things I love most about martial arts is that the learning never stops. Every time you step on the mats with someone new, there’s an opportunity to exchange knowledge, gain a different perspective, and grow—not just as a martial artist, but as a person.

Grateful for the hospitality, the opportunity, and the chance to connect through something we both love. These are the moments that remind you why you started and why you keep going.

If you’re ever in Orlando, make sure to stop by his awesome gym. You’ll find a great place to train and a reminder of what makes this community so special.

Much respect, and thank you for having me. 🙏🥋

My Judo son has returned! He started training with me at 14 and has recently moved from the northeast to Sarasota. He drives almost 2 hours to train. He embodies discipline, humility, loyalty and is a true judoka. I’m so happy to have him back.
