The Barbell Strict Press is one of the most honest lifts in the gym β€” it tells you exactly how strong your shoulders, triceps and upper body really are. No hiding behind momentum.

How to nail your strict press:
1️⃣ Setup β€” feet hip-width, bar resting on the front of your shoulders, elbows slightly forward
2️⃣ Brace β€” full core brace, squeeze your glutes, no lower back arch
3️⃣ Press β€” drive the bar straight up, push your head through at the top
4️⃣ Lockout β€” arms fully extended, bar over your heels, shoulders active
5️⃣ Lower β€” controlled descent back to the shelf, reset and repeat
