Dressed in team colours and united in purpose, the players stood alongside the best in the country as the tournament was officially declared open. A celebration of camaraderie, competition, and the spirit of the game.

The team spent the day fine-tuning their games at the beautiful St Francis Links as preparations ramp up.

With championship conditions, strategic layouts, and coastal winds testing every shot, it was the perfect stage to sharpen decision-making and build confidence ahead of competition.

🏆 EGU Proud Moment

Ekurhuleni Golf Union is incredibly proud to celebrate one of our own, Jules Blondeau Benite (), on his outstanding victory at the U11 IPT Challenge. 🇿🇦

Representing both Ekurhuleni and Gauteng Province Team A, Jules delivered a remarkable performance with rounds of 75 and 73 (total 148), securing the individual title and the best score of the tournament.

As captain of Gauteng A, he also played a key role in leading the team to an excellent 2nd place overall — a true display of leadership and composure at a young age.

This achievement reflects the strength of junior golf within Ekurhuleni and the bright future ahead.

Calling all junior golfers! Join us for a competitive and well-run junior event hosted by the Ekurhuleni Golf Union.

Entries open: 19 January 2026
Entries close: 4 February 2026 at 12:00 PM (SAST)

The tournament will be played over 18 holes Strokeplay under the Rules of Golf approved by The R&A and the by-laws of the Ekurhuleni Golf Union.

💰 Entry fee: R300 members
R450 non members
(Includes green fees and halfway)

• No motorised carts allowed
• Caddies permitted (friends & family welcome)
• Prize giving after completion of play
• Playoff to decide ties if required

Please note: Online entries will only be confirmed once payment is received. Withdrawals after the draw has been completed will still be liable for the entry fee.
