The Dance Connection is a dance studio holding members all over and around Bloemfontein & Welkom, Free State. We offer classes in many different styles, such as:
- Hip Hop
- Acrobatics
- Freestyle
- Slowdance
- Rock n Roll
- Hustle
- Tap
- Modern
- Social Dancing (Sokkie, Two-Step and Waltz)

Additional we have some specials, e.g.:
- Boogie Babies (Dancing for little ones 3 - 6: pre-school)
- Hip Hop Bootcamp

Many of our dancers participate in national and/or international competitions. Furthermore we hold several shows during the year or dance at functions and corporate events. If you share our passion for dancing or you just want to get to know something new,
you are warmly welcome to become part of our studio community.

Our Tiny Tots learn through play, music and movement, building coordination, balance, rhythm and confidence while having fun.

Starting young helps little dancers develop important motor and social skills, all while discovering the joy of dance.

A big congratulations to all our TDC dancers who took to the floor at the FSCC on Friday and Saturday, 16 and 17 October! We’re so proud of everyone who participated, put in the work and represented TDC.

A special mention goes to Afraid of Time for their Contemporary Group special award, Carla Smit for her Slowdance number, and Carla Smit and Kayla Labuscagne for their Duo performance, which also received a special award.

Well done, dancers! Every performance is another opportunity to grow, learn and show just how much you love what you do. We’re proud of you all! ❤️

Yesterday was all about celebrating our wonderful teacher, Jeadene, and of course, our dancers had to make it extra special with a birthday song!

Sometimes the best part of dance isn't getting every step perfect.

It's the feeling behind it. The confidence that grows, the stories being told, the music that takes over, and that moment when a dancer forgets everything else and simply moves.

That's what we love about dance at TDC. There isn't one way to dance, and there isn't one reason to do it. There just has to be a reason that means something to you. 💜

Some days the new move clicks immediately.
Other days... absolutely not. 😂

You'll wobble. You'll forget. You'll get frustrated. You'll wonder why something that looked so easy suddenly feels impossible.
And then one day, you do it.

That's dance. Progress doesn't always look impressive while you're in the middle of it, but every class, correction and slightly chaotic attempt is getting you somewhere.

Keep going. The breakthrough usually comes after the bit where you want to give up.

Dance isn't just about learning the choreography. It's about developing control, consistency, musicality and confidence until the movement starts to feel natural.

You’ll have days where your body just isn't cooperating.

And then you try again.

Dance teaches you that getting something wrong isn't the end of the story. Sometimes it's simply part of learning how to get it right.

And honestly, that lesson is worth far more than a perfect performance. ❤️
