Our three boys — Uzair, Ismail, and Shanawaaz — have returned home after proudly representing South Africa at the IHF Trophy Zone VI in Zambia, and Bo-Kaap couldn’t be prouder. 🇿🇦

We celebrate not only your achievements, but also the courage, discipline, and heart you showed on the international stage. You represented your country, your families, and your community with pride. 🙏

Uzair competed with the U18 team and brought home 3rd place — a reward for the hard work and dedication put in behind the scenes. Ismail and Shanawaaz represented the U20 team with strength and composure, finishing 4th in a highly competitive tournament. 💪

You carried the name of Bo-Kaap onto every court and inspired the next generation of young players to believe that anything is possible.

We saw the effort, the sacrifice, and the determination to keep going no matter the challenge. That’s true character, and that’s what makes us proud.

This is only the beginning. There will be more opportunities, more growth, and more moments to shine — and your community will be behind you every step of the way. 💙🤍

A HUGE moment for our boys! 🇿🇦🔥

Uzair, Ismail, and Shanawaaz are on their way to Zambia to proudly wear the green and gold for South Africa as part of the U20 national team! They will be on a two-week journey to test their strength and ability to compete in national level.

This isn’t just a trip, it’s the result of years of hard work, tough training sessions, and pure dedication. From the streets and courts of Bo-Kaap to the international stage, these young men have shown what hard work, discipline, and community support can do.

They’re stepping up to compete against some of the best youth talent out there, and we know they’ll bring the same grit, skill, and heart that got them this far.

To Uzair, Ismail, and Shanawaaz: Stay sharp, trust your training, back each other, and enjoy every second. An entire community, a city, and a country are behind you. Go out there, play fearless, and make us proud! 💪✨

Bo-Kaap Players at Youth Nationals 🇿🇦

Last week, six of our players travelled to Kroonstad to compete at the 2026 National Youth Championship, representing Western Province against provinces from across South Africa. 💪

Three of our players were selected for the U18 team (Uzair, Cole and Yusuf), while another three were chosen for the U20s (Ismail, Muzzamil, Shah Nawaaz). 💙🤍

Both teams delivered strong performances throughout the tournament. The Western Province U18 Boys finished as National Silver Medalists 🥈, while the U20 Boys dominated the tournament and were crowned National Champions 🏅!

A special congratulations to our Bo-Kaap player Ismail Williams, who was awarded TOP GOALSCORER of the U20 tournament for his outstanding performance. 🤾‍♂️

We are proud of all our Bo-Kaap players who worked hard to earn their place in the provincial teams and represent both Western Province and our community on the national stage.

Ramadan Iftar 2026 🌙

During the holy month of Ramadan, our sport activities pause as many of our players observe the fast. Instead, we continue an important tradition in our club: our annual Iftar. ☪️

Beginning of this week, players from our junior and senior teamsncame together to break the fast and share a special evening with the club community. Moments like these highlight the values of respect, unity and togetherness that define our club beyond the handball court.

Saturday U14. Sunday U20. 💙🤍

Our U20 tournament brought together Progresso from Langa, Cape Stars from Delft and Soneike from Kuils River for a full day of competitive handball.

The boys’ final delivered everything. In a close and intense match, Bo-Kaap secured a 22:21 win against Cape Stars and crowned themselves tournament champions. 🏆

The girls’ final was even more dramatic. After a 17:17 draw at full time against Cape Stars, the game went to penalties where Bo-Kaap held their nerve and claimed the title as well. 🏅

Strong games, high intensity and proud moments for our teams. At the same time, it showed that we need more teams and clubs to grow the competition and push the level even higher. 🙏

Special Day for our U14s 💙🤍

Just before Ramadan, we hosted our Annual Handball Tournament at our home grounds in Bo-Kaap. Nine teams from across Cape Town joined us and for the first time at this age group, boys and girls competed separately.

Congratulations to Classic Handball girls and boys for taking first place. Our Bo-Kaap girls and boys finished second.
