Im enjoying end-of-year festivities with my Melkbos ladies. Our beach walk was incredible with the weather playing along beautifully. The wind dropped at the perfect time!

Every move you repeat is an opportunity to understand yourself more deeply.
Each part of each exercise is a chance to listen closer, to notice something new, to connect a little more fully with your body and with the work.
What begins as movement becomes awareness, and what starts as practice becomes understanding.
Pilates is not about doing more or going harder, itโs about moving with presence of mind and a willingness to learn.
The body learns through repetition, but growth comes from attention.

Itโs a journey, and a pleasant, rewarding experience.
The more I watch Pilates videos
the more I see how far some people are to understand
the essence of Pilates. Where is the Control?
I see bad alignments, using momentum to do what people can't do with control, shoulder-blades used as ear-rings, dead feet, etc...
It's amazing how many people don't know that they don't know.
As Eve Gentry said "You can learn every exercise on every piece of equipment and don't know Pilates".
So, if you are a Pilates Teacher, keep your learning process "on"
and study with someone who is part of the legacy (first and second generation teachers). Possibly study with many of them.
