Why should we encourage our children to stretch? 🙆🏼
We know that stretching at any age is beneficial and important for our health and wellbeing, so it's important to explain to children the positive benefits of stretching their muscles.
Stretching can help:
🌟Move joints through a full range of motion, by keeping ligaments and tendons flexible
🌟Prevent injury
🌟Improve athletic performance
🌟Encourage a healthful lifestyle
🌟Promote better posture
🌟Reduce stress
Start with these 4 simple ideas:
✅ Toe Touches from standing or sitting - bending forward to try and reach their toes
✅Side bends - sliding down the side of the body
✅Reach for the Stars - stretching up and onto their tiptoes
✅Child's Pose - sitting on their heels and bending forward until the forehead touches the ground

An exciting day tomorrow as we finally start our in-studio programme for 4-7 year olds! I can't wait to meet you all and go on our very first adventure! 🧘🏻♀️
Tuesdays at 2.45pm are already oversubscribed so if you'd like your child to be involved get their names onto a waiting last ASAP so we can open up more sessions! 💫
