Celebrating Marine Protected Areas Day 2026 💙🌊

This Marine Protected Areas Day, Shark Explorers was proud to collaborate with Khoi Scouts to welcome an incredible group of children from the Ocean View community for a day of discovery, learning, and connection with the ocean they call home.

Aboard our Eco Tour, the children experienced the rich marine biodiversity of False Bay, learned about the vital role Marine Protected Areas play in protecting our oceans, and discovered how every one of us can make a difference in conserving our marine environment.

At Shark Explorers, conservation isn't just something we talk about—it's at the heart of everything we do. By empowering young people with knowledge and unforgettable experiences, we're helping to inspire the next generation of ocean guardians.

A heartfelt thank you to Khoi Scouts for partnering with us and to every child whose curiosity, enthusiasm, and love for nature made this day so special. Together, we are creating a future where our oceans are understood, respected, and protected.

A full sea day today with inshore scuba diving with our Sharkaholic dive group, followed by a shark cage diving adventure with an American university lecturers touring group.
