Good Evening, Coaches, Captains, Players,Referees, Medics, Sub-Unions and Club Officials,

As President of the BCM District Rugby Union, it gives me great pleasure to wish all our *First Division Clubs* the very best as we kick off our league games tomorrow across the four streams.

This is the result of months of preparation, commitment, and love for the game at grassroots level. To every player taking the field: play hard, play fair, and represent your club and community with pride. To the coaches and management: thank you for the work you do behind the scenes to keep rugby alive in our district.

My sincere wish is for competitive, exciting rugby in all four streams, and above all, *a safe season with no injuries*. Look after each other on the field, respect the referees, and let the game be won by skill and spirit.

May the best teams rise, but may rugby be the ultimate winner tomorrow.
