For GBV - Gender-Based Violence, the main colours
1. PURPLE - The main GBV colour
Symbolises justice, dignity and survival. This is the most recognized worldwide. In SA you will see Black + Purple often worn together.
2. WHITE - White Ribbon Campaign
Worn especially by men to show: "We will never commit, condone or remain silent about violence against women and children." Started in 1991. Worn during 16 Days of Activism.
